Not quite in the centre of the tourist hotspots but quite nice to be able to get away from it all the same!

Gorgeous boutique hotel surrounded by great restaurants and bars - but you won’t want to go to any of them - the Infame restaurant at 1908 Lisboa is superb and we just couldn’t go past it to eat anywhere else! Must try dishes are the cod and the hummus!!! Ask for a room on the pointy end of the building (111,211, 311 etc) - they are amazing with their three huge windows and enormous bathroom! About 200m walk to Intendente subway station which connects you to everywhere or any easy 10min walk down to the main mall. Highly recommended!

The most impressive thing about this hotel is the staff. I had my wallet stolen within about 30 minutes of arriving. Andre, my hero, was there to help out with everything. I wasn't sure how I was going to pay for the next 6 days of my trip in Portugal but Andre had me PayPal him some euros and the hotel gave me the cash. The entire team went above and beyond to help me in my time of need. Additionally, the hotel was very nice, the breakfast was delicious and the location is great.

We loved everything about the hotel and location was surprisingly convenient. If I was a solo woman traveler, would be cognizant of some typical urban issues, as in any other major city.

1908 Lisboa Hotel is an architectural gem and our room, overlooking the square was beautiful, spacious and very well-appointed (an unexpected upgrade from our booking). Every part of this charming hotel has been thoughtfully designed to delight. Resto and lounge were wonderful. Welcome drinks were appreciated, as were the tarts in our room. Even unloading our luggage (in dedicated space) and parking, which can be v challenging in the city, was convenient and seamlessly handled. The most outstanding feature of the hotel is the staff - every single team member was so friendly, happy and helpful. Andre, who assisted with plans for a walking tour of Lisbon for our last day might have the most welcoming smile in the world. He is a treasure. Would not hesitate to book again.

The location is great. It’s a nice central spot with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel itself was super clean and nicely decorated. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and had a great view of the city. Overall, a very welcoming place & wished we were able to stay longer!

The front desk staff were amazing (thank you Mafalda and Sophia): accommodating, helpful, friendly, great energy. Breakfast (included) was fantastic: quality, great spread, a la carte options, stellar wait staff (thank you Luis). Great location: many nice restaurants adjacent, and only a 30 minute walk to Alfama and other major tourist locations: on the pick-up route for tourist locations. Beautiful building: magnificent heritage exterior, yet very modern, artsy and aesthetically pleasing interior.

Loved my stay at 1908 Lisboa. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast. Restaurant was lovely to eat in the evening too. Also loved the quirky bathroom. Well done to all.

The bar area is small and often overcrowded. A pretty minor dislike with all the other good stuff.

Room was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was very good. Staff were exceptional- booking us train tickets, airline check-in, organizing taxis etc. Can't tell you how much we appreciated the staff going the "extra" mile for us.

Excellent staff - extremely helpful and welcoming. Lots of little touches at the hotel that were hugely appreciated - e.g local pastries and liqueur sent up to room on night one, two free drinks at the bar, and a flower on International Women's Day! Instant response to queries on the hotel WhatsApp board. Exceptional service.

The hotel is situated a short walk from nearly everything you could wish to do on a long weekend in Lisbon, not to mention across the road from one of the best seafood restaurants, Ramiro!! The staff though were really exceptional, so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble!
