Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was bit claustrophobic for 4 people. Not sure about all the rooms but the room allocated to us seems to be claustrophobic.
Dinya Lisbon Hotel is very clean. Location is very convenient. The breakfast spread is good.

We were only here for one night, so the room size was practical for us. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They truly are great! The breakfast was delicious and with a great variety of options. The Wi-Fi was easy to connect to. Parking our car rental was easy. The room was very clean, and the bed sheets were fresh and clean too! There is a great restaurant directly across the hotel - small, but great food and lovely owners. The area is safe and had a pharmacy and market nearby.

The room was tight for the four of us, but it worked out well.
The location worked well for us as we had driven back from the Algarve region and wanted a nice place that was closer to the airport. There was a spot to park close by and since we were leaving early in the morning, they packed a "to go" breakfast for us. Walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner and enjoyed out last night in Portugal.

The bath wasn't functional, this was a bit of a pity but the shower was also relaxing. The location is not the best with approximately half an hour from the city center, but luckely the public transport connection is good in the city center.
Relaxing hotel just outside of the citycenter of Lisbon. The room was clean, a comfortable bed and delicious breakfast in the lounge.

Waer pressure was a little low (not a big deal).
Well appointed very small rooms. Was able to open the window for fresh air. Nice neighbourhood, lots of great eating places. In house breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety

The bathroom was very small.

It was so tiny, barely any space to move around. Not enough tables for guests to have breakfast. I have 2 small kids and they were not allowed to have a bath and they removed the plugs and when I asked for it they told me it was not possible.
Breakfast staff were very nice and the breakfast was quite decent.

The only downside is the tight spaces, but we didn’t mind because they made a great renovation within the footprint of an old building.
Bedding and pillows were luxurious. Attractively decorated.

We had to checkout early so the front desk arranged for a bag of breakfast items to be delivered to our room. We arrived early so were able to have our luggage stored. Nice to have free bottled water and snacks in our room.

The room was really small but we saw there were other options so if you want more space maybe it is better to take another option of room.
The staff was great specially Karim who made our check on and check out. The breakfast had everything we like do no complains at all. We had a spot to the car and it was great.

No ironing facilities, need to provide.
Cosy little hotel, small room and bathroom, able to open the window. Breakfast had a good variety of food. Ok position, great restaurant just around the corner.

We stayed in the room next to the lounge so the mornings can be a bit loud as everyone is going for breakfast.
Amazing location due to the public transports, metro, bus and tram stops are only a few minutes away (the airport is only 25 minutes away by taking the metro). Breakfast was lovely, the room was always nicely cleaned and everything was spotless.
