Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe patrons of the property, every staff were so courteous. They were sharing all the information relevant to the stay. They were very helpful and accommodative. Would certainly love to return , to watch the Northern Lights, which we missed this time. Transparent billing and worth the time spent.I booked this property from India through Booking. Com. Enjoyed my stay in the Panaroma cabin with view of endless snow.

United KingdomIt only had one sink to wash our dishes, no shelf in the bathroom or extra space for our toiletries. Also the microwave was very high on the kitchen shelf and not practical to use because of its location.
It was cosy, warm, comfortable and clean with a view of the frozen lake.

United States of AmericaNothing it exceeded all of our expecatations. My only continued disclaimer is to have a rental car to fully enjoy the property as it is outside of town (which we knew and planned for!)
One of the best places we've ever stayed. Main disclaimer is you absolutely need a car to stay here. If you are not renting a car, stay closer to town. We had a car and intentionally booked a place outside of town that would give us greater visibility of the aurora. The location of this property is unlike any other. You can go on hikes to see the lights at all hours of the night and you get 360 degree views of the sky if you walk out onto the lake. The wilderness left cabin was equipped with everything we could ever need. Warm, comfortable beds, great shower facility and best of all was our private sauna. The staff was extremely helpful when we struggled making a fire for the sauna. I would recommend this property to anyone and hope to return someday!

United KingdomWe had the panorama room which had a beautiful view over the lake. The property is very well maintained - clean rooms, clean shared bathrooms and clear lit paths in the evening. Minibar in our room was super convenient as we didn’t bring enough snacks with us 😊 Also lots of sleds available to have fun with

Germany- The Panoramaroom is really small for two persons. I wouldn’t recommend that for two persons when you are travelling with two bigger bags. Also the sofa was a little bit too soft.
- Very nice Place to stay next to the lake - small cozy accommodation - really friendly staff - nice and organised camp - all in all a beautiful place to stay! - just peaceful quiet in the middle of the wild

SwitzerlandEven though the location as such was beautiful, given that it was so remote and the Camp did not have a very rich transportation offer, it was very complicated from a logistic point of view to get to the Camp or to get from the Camp in order to do activities. The Camp only offered a few shuttles that costed extra. Upon arrival though, we had no other choice but to take a taxi from the airport to the Camp, which costed SEK 650 (for only a 12 minutes drive). We wished that the Camp would have been more considerate of the transportation situation for guests that don‘t own a car. Also, the dinner that was offered was way over-priced. It costed SEK 350 for meat balls and a pre-purchased slice of cake.
The proximity to nature was mind-blowing. The landscape was stunning, super close to the frozen lake and in the middle of the woods. Very authentic experience. Very cosy cottage. Very private atmosphere. The room was well-equipped for anyone wanting to cook something themselves. Highly recommend to anyone searching for a glamping experience!

AustraliaOur lake view cottage was exactly as in the pictures. Aurora Camp is in a beautiful location in the wilderness and a great spot to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately when we stayed it was cloudy. Staff were very welcoming. Aurora camp offers the opportunity to experience sleeping in an igloo. There is no running water and the toilet / showers are communal (clean) in the main area about 200m from the main part of the camp. I used the sauna for my shower and had a snow bath - very refreshing. The drive down the road can be a little scary, so just take it easy.

SwitzerlandMore towels would have been nice (e.g. one for shower, one for sauna). Washing the dishes in the small bathroom sink was a bit inconvenient. The Wilderness Suite is poorly soundproofed, so you can hear everything your neighbours are saying/doing. The Relax Room was not very relaxing or cozy - it smelled like plastic. Mosquito repellent is absolutely vital at this place. Unfortunately, the camp doesn't provide or sell any. But why not?!
Aurora Camp is a tranquil place amidst nature, located right next to a beautiful and large lake (Torne river, actually). It has a lot of potential, most probably during the winter months when you can see northern lights. However, we came here in August when the place felt a bit abandoned. Our room (Wilderness Suite) had a functional kitchen, modern bathroom and private sauna (which we didn't use tho). We liked the oven in the room and also the outside BBQ area. The shared saunas (there were no other guests) were really nice too, with a beautiful view at the waterfront. After taking a sauna, we enjoyed a swim in the lake (which is very cold). WIFI was perfect.

FinlandAfter the first night, we decided to extend our stay to two nights at Aurora Camp Kurravaara in July to make the most out of the wonderful camp site. Overall, the experience was amazing! The Wilderness Suite was extremely cozy and it even had a wooden sauna! The location was good and the views at the Torne river were astonishing.
