Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Good value for the money. Nothing fancy, a bit motel-like, but friendly personnel and excellent breakfast. Beds were ok, too.

Arriving really late we parked outside the hotel and wasn’t told the hotel had their own car park, which resulted in a parking fine for 500,- SEK, and there was no help to get from the hotel staff the following morning. Bad service in my book.

For us, we needed earlier access to the breakfast than 7 (but the hotel allowed us to eat earlier anyway).
It was very varied. Had everything I needed. Extra plus for the preprepared allergy section.

The rooms were tired and extremely warm, no air conditioning. The pool was out of order and the bar was not open on Thursday / Friday or Saturday nights. It was hard to locate staff at times, reception staff weren’t always around which caused frustrating in and delays.
The setting of the hotel is beautiful. The food served was excellent throughout the stay as well.

The room was a bit dated, but fine for 1 night.
There is a nice walking route through a small forest upon the hill next to the hotel. The room was quite big. Also easy parking close to the room. The breakfast was fine.

they still haven’t orenes the restaurant. - so no other meals are served but breakfast
Kungälv is my hometown. The hotel is where we had our great salubrations in family. Fars Hatt has a great enotionel value for me. It’s beautifullie situated in the old town!

The hotel needs a defenitely a make over as the hotel installation / style seem to be dated from the 80s of last century ... as well as the spirit of the hotels owner - the rooms are cleaned only every second day - including fresh set of towels also only per 2 days -> No Go. The hotel staff at the reception seems to be overwhelmed with their daily tasks - it took me apporx 15-20 minutes to get a correct issued invoice with my company details. Maybe my expectation was too high regarding usual standards on a business trip - 1 overnight stay incl. breakfast via booking costs approx 1100 SEK. You get what you pay for ...
historical accomodation, well situated close to the fortess of Kungläv. Nice veranda and a very nice view from the restaurant to the lake and the fortress.

Got a nice price through booking.com and they wrote they accepted dogs. But not that I had to pay extra 250 sek when i came there. Then the «nice price» was not nice anymore, just standard. If i knew that i would have choosen another hotell with better standard and comfort.
Nice placed, easy access from E6. And the staff was super friendly.

The facilities are extremely old. If you are young enough, possibly you could see it only in old movies :D nevertheless, everything worked, so no real issue. They have huge pool but sadly it was empty.
I chose the place because it was the cheapest option close to Gothenburg. It was still quite expensive though. The breakfast was nice and it is located in the nice area. You can take a nice walk to the castle, or next to the water.

I had read recent reports so wasn’t surprised. I didn’t need the pool or the restaurant but it would be fairer for family stays to mention they were shut. Very much a 70’s holiday camp hotel, tired, dated and apparently having a refit. No aircon. Charging for on site parking (and it’s more expensive than metered parking directly outside)
Price and location suited us. We were using it literally as a place to put our heads down.
