Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The table in the room was unstable. The shower flooded the entire bathroom and it was impossible to wipe the floor. Not very thorough cleaning.
Great location, close to the market and train station. The room was small but ok, with nice window. Access to coffee and tea for free. Good breakfast.

I'm missing somewhere to sit in the room. The beds are extremely comfortable but not good for just sitting for a bit (as they are very soft), and there was only one very small stool that was too low to comfortably sit on, and no table. Also the water in the tap in the bathroom would not get warm, only cold or slightly less cold.
The hotel is in a super location, only a few steps from the central station. The beds was very comfortable, the breakfast buffet was nice and so were the employees. It is also relatively quiet, not just from outside noises but also from the neighbours. It's a little bit on the pricey side, but not moreso than other hotels in the same area. TV with Chromecast was brilliant, so I could continue watching my Netflix series on a bigger screen than just my phone.

There should be an option "no-breakfast" for people who need to leave very early.
The fact that the reception was manned and no access codes or apps were needed. Perfect location for people who need a cheap, well equipped place without no frills for a over-night stay.

Had to try several coffees before I could find something I might actually drink (and I'm a coffee drinker, and really needed it after being awake till almost 2 AM).
Surprisingly well equipped room, nice and helpful people at reception even at 1 AM (sorry, late meetings and trains) and good choice for breakfast.

The room was very narrow and kinda dark, since it had no natural light. The breakfast was mediocre with very few options and almost nothing sweet included. There was construction going on in the hallway of my room during the day which made it hard to move with a suitcase while i was leaving.
The location was great, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly. Relatively clean. Close to the central station. Checking in and out was very easy.

Nothing as such that I didn't like,it was a little awkward when you took a shower the rest of bathroom floor got wet ,some pastries would have been nice at breakfast

The Bed. The breakfast was quite poor with not much selections. No eggs for example.
Not much practical beds where is hard to reach and move around. For 1-2 nights is ok. Great location close to the train station and main attractions.

The curtain in the shower was too short and small. Wanted a room with a balcony, but it wasnt possible. The room was on 2nd floor so windows were covered and its was so cosy. Also no smoking area.

Having to leave so early and miss breakfast!
The receptionist very kindly helped me print out my train tickets. The shower was clean and powerful and the beds were comfortable. The room was small but there was plenty of space to pack my bag. The location is also excellent, you can see the station from the hotel and it's close to some of the more interesting sights in Malmö, including the knotted gun. I booked this after re-reading the reviews on the hostel I'd booked previously and decided I could do with a closer and nicer place to sleep.
