Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LatviaFirst time I stayed in exact same room was almost 2,5 yrs ago - no improvements. It got now even worse - some flies and moskitos in room, even with closed window. Bathroom needs improvements ASAP. Breakfast - gets worse every time. Soon it will be not worth paying for it.
Unfortunately nothing.

SwedenFirst of all, the check-in system, I didn't like it even before it caused me problems. I do not agree to have to download an app and to do a log in just to use it 3 nights for a hotel, I've seen that this is a new feature however it is not better than the card and it ended in causing me problems. Secondly, the cost of my room per night is way too expensive for what you get. The quality of the overall room is too poor to cost more than 1200sek per night. The walls are quite thin and you can clearly hear your neighbours. Since the hotel does not have reception 24/7, it should be better advertised, at the hotel and after you book the room, the time when someone is available at the actual reception. Also you should receive information previously that in the night the entrance is from the back, where the breakfast is, which number to contact in case of, because I have found 3 different numbers advertised and not all of them worked, etc. General information that you should know before your arrival and not to discover them yourself after you get there. The only thing advertised is the check-in and check-out time. For 2 mornings, the breakfast lacked ingredients that were filled in after we left. Since there was nobody around, we could not tell anyone about it. I would prefer to pay more for a good quality stay but this was not the case. Unfortunately, I will not recommend nor stay again at this hotel.
Apart from the employees that were nice and helpful, it is very hard to find other things that I liked. The bed was rather comfortable as well. The room was fair in size. I think that the rooms facing the yeard could have a nice view. However, that was not my case.

United States of AmericaWe stayed on a Saturday night and when we checked in with the bar personnel, we were warned about the late-night disco guests who could be loud. This was an understatement. Our room faced the square and we could not sleep a wink until after 2:30, when the bar (connected to the hotel) closed and the partiers went home. I strongly suggest that rooms facing the square are highly discounted on Friday and Saturday nights. I will never stay here on a weekend again, rather stay at Laurentius or another hotel where it is quiet, as this is clearly a known problem.
This is a nice little hotel in the middle of town. Very comfortable bed, clean rooms, and good breakfast.

SwedenThe premises were in a poor condition, the impression from the elevator, the corridors, the rooms and all furniture is that is all was very worn out. Shame on such a pretty building. The night club was open until 02, and the music and beat was heard clearly even at 3rd floor, not possible to sleep. Surprising since I guess this must be happening every Friday and Saturday! The bathroom and shower reminded of a public swimming pool from the 80's. I was expecting a lot more from such a nice historic building.
The location was great. The breakfast was good and the premises were clean, the bed was comfy.

SwedenI think the price can use a little shaking to be more suitable for what to expect BUT the location, staff and perhaps the season too can justify some of that; but not all!

GermanyWe did not know, that the hotel does not open before 3pm. Upon arrival at 2pm we could not leave our luggage at the hotel. Instead we had to wait until 3pm. This unavailability was uncommon for us and should have been communicated at the time of the booking.
The hotel has a central location in Strängnäs. The parking site is close to the hotel. The rooms are small but everything we needed was available. The staff was helpful and friendly.

United States of AmericaThe rooms vary in size, so by chance, you may get a very small room or a larger room. The rooms facing the square get very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights when the pub below (attached to the hotel) is open late.
The hotel is centrally located in town, with perfect access to everything you need in Strangnas. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. We have stayed here multiple times when in town visiting family, and will stay again!

PortugalSoft are too soft. The breakfast was a minimum compared to what many other offers. We got a feeling that there is need for competition n Strängnäs to lift the hotel standard in general.
The hotel need a revamp. The beds are too soft and you get a feeling that maintenance of the hotel is lacking for some time. There a disconnect between price and value for money as the stay was overpriced in our mind.
