Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I have no dislikes apart from when the hotel is fully booked and I have to stay somewhere else :(
This is my favourite hotel of all times! It feels like coming home. Everything is perfect, from the location to the cosy lobby with a little bar, restaurant and friendly & fun staff. It feels like staying with friends. The absolute highlights are the breakfast and the beds. The breakfast ist outstanding!!!! I get up an hour early to enjoy it longer. Not only the food prepared with love and care, but also the nice an cosy atmosphere.

I was missing coffee & tea in the room, especially since the room prices are pretty high. The toilet was so tiny that I wonder if slightly bigger people would actually even fit between the toilet and the sink :-).
Beautiful, cozy hotel in a nice and central neighbourhood. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. The 1-person room was very small, but cozy.

The Sunday breakfasts are too crowded.
I am a regular client, and the hotel management makes a point in leaving a treat and a handwritten note during each stay. The service is personalised,. The location is perfect, and within walking distance to many attractions. It is also well connected to public transports (bus and subway).

This is nit picking, but the floors where the rooms are situated and the room itself aren't modern and recently updated. They've got patina, but it's part of the charm. If you expect marble and sterile, this isn't the hotel for you. Cozy, familiar yet clean.
Location excellent, and the breakfast exceeded all our expectations! I've stayed in many a hotel, but this was by far the best! The staff left us a complementary bottle in celebration of my spouse's birthday - top notch! The small things...

hotel Ruth is always a great choice in Stockholm. First class breakfast, with a wide array of choices of all kind; comfy bed and very friendly staff, the possibility to have a quick byte for lunch or while working are a great extra. way to go!

There could have been a shelf or closet for your clothes. A mini fridge would also have been be nice.
The breakfast was excellent! Friendly staff, nice room and a cozy bar on the first floor. The room was clean and quiet.

Queen size bed is 140cm, very comfortable but it`s to narrow for two adults.
The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I ever had. It had everything you would wish for and desire. It tastes very good and was even nice to look at

I loved my stay here; the hotel is really cute, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is incredible! When a window in my original room wouldn’t stay shut, they moved me immediately to a bigger, nicer room. I so appreciate it!

The bed was a bit too small for a couple.
Breakfast was amazing and it had a huge variety of food. The quality was also very very good. The room had a really good bathroom with nice water temperature and pressure, decor, shower space.

A minor point but the room was a little cold a couple of evenings, but at other times was fine. Another minor point was that voices from other guest could be heard as could them moving about their room above/having a shower etc. A very small point.
The breakfast - lots of reviews mention it and with good reason, the choice and quality is superb. The beds are also super comfortable and ensured a good nights sleep. The lounge area is also a nice place to sit and read, or have a drink before going out. The board games were also a nice touch too. I would certainly stay here again if in Stockholm in the future and would highly recommend it.

My room this time was at the far end of the corridor and the internet was a bit shabby.
It is always a pleasure to stay at Hotel Ruth. I always stay there when I am in Stockholm. The staff is attentive, the location is central, the beds super comfortable and the breakfast is divine.
