There were no glasses in the room, for tooth brush or drinking water.

For longer staying guests (ie one week), the lack of adequate wardrobe and cupboard space is disappointing as is the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Also for older guests the use of the baths as a base for showering can be a little tricky.

Breakfast - despite reaching out a few weeks in advance to confirm breakfast times it turned out that breakfast was not available on the given time. The kind(!) receptionist informed that hotel had switched to summer time and opened up breakfast later in the mornings. An honest misstake I guess but when you have a ferry to catch it makes a difference. Parking - I can see from other reviews that I am not the only one being mislead here. Should be easy to correct if there is a will. I asked mentioned receptionist if the street parking is free since it is Sunday. She replied parking is paid 24hours/7 days a week and parking can be found behind the hotel. The (hotel's....) parking behind the hotel was full so I had to park on the street.... One of the locals informed me it is for free since we have Sunday :-)

The breakfast is beyond expectation. There was no chance we could even taste all on offer - choose wisely :-). The view from our room was fantastic - overlooking the water and harbor with small boats. The location was easy to find - and important for us - the location is good should have a ferry to catch in the morning like we did. The room was enough for us but too small if you are 3 and plan a longer stay = Basic but clean and functional standard

I am a bit disappointed at the breakfast personell. I was asking for a baby seat but the girl just pointed where I could find one instead of helping me getting one. I had my hands full and cant just leave the baby by it self to go get a chair on the other side of the room. I would have appreciated if they were a little more attentive and helpful.

The breakfast was good and the location is very close to the city center which is really nice.

Elevator problems were finally resolved on our next-to-last day there. Furniture was spare. I'd like to have a couple of dresser drawers to put my clothes in so I don't have to keep digging through the suitcase.

Beautiful view of harbor from room. Nice access to local restaurants and sites, including a little rock island wildlife refuge. Breakfast was excellent and dinner very tasty. Staff helpful and kind.

Since the elevators were being repaired the stairs were used.. and that’s fine.. but the stairs had massive dustballs could have been cleaned before using them as an alternate route than the elevators..

The Restaurant menu was a little limited although the food was great. The Hotel carpark was run by private contractors so there is no free parking at site. In addition when the Hotel os busy the car parking is somewhat limited.

Scandic is well located, just minutes walk from the restaurants, shop and waterfront. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Therese stood out as being the most helpful. Well done to her for seeing to my past-midnight check-in after driving almost 250km. Helping me with picking up dinner, having warm drinking water for my room at my arrival all the way ensuring I had a packed breakfast when I checked out at 4am on my final day. Simply outstanding job, Therese. Thank you.
