Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Travelled with new frightened dog all the way from South Sweden. Had not eaten all day and couldn't leave dog alone. Staff arranged a dinner for me. Heaven sent❤️

Great place to go out from the busy center. A perfect lake is next to it with jogging opportunities, nature trails, and a recreational area. I liked coffee was served as welcome drink and available all time there.

Very far out of town. Absolutely need a car. Breakfast was basic, but certainly enough of everything needed.
Loved the games or TV rooms / common areas. Fully equipped kitchen, with multiple fridges. Value for money. Nice area, but far out of town. Can recommend.

Breakfast might be way better, considering you can hardly find alternatives nearby. I was disappointed. I'm ok with the simplicity but to some extent.
Good location near the vast lake. I appreciate the affordable price and late cancellation conditions. The room was huge for Sweeden ) with windows and new and neat furniture from IKEA. We took the one with the bathroom - pretty convenient. We didn't check public facilities. We only used the fridge in the kitchen. If you are up to cooking, it's not ideal, but OK. My relatives told me that the opening of this hotel after a renovation was quite a local event. The building was a hospital, so it is straightforward from an architectural and internal environment planning perspective.

It was my second time at Sidsjö Hotell and everything was great. The room was clean and so was the shared shower. Also worth mentioning is the super friendly staff who are on hand with help and advice. I spontaneously had to postpone my arrival day by one day before and the hotel employee was very courteous, thank you very much for that. Everything then went smoothly via booking.com. In the morning there is a really nice breakfast in the great restaurant and you can sit comfortably there. I would always come back here, if ever in Sundsvall again. Tack för allt!

The staff was really helpful and friendly, and pricewise the morning breakfast was great value for money. Furthermore the guests had access to a small self-service hostel-like kitchen, and an adjacent social room.

Staff were exceptionally helpful, made sure everything went well, even went above and beyond what service was hoped for. Accommodation was what you expected. Clean. Breakfast was good too. All in all, their staff made this stop over stress free, friendly and recommendation worth.

Freshly renovated, very good sound isolation between rooms, quite big room, nice facilities like kitchen, washing room. Also seems there are good number of shared bathrooms and toilets - we had boy case where all were busy, so no need to be in line ;)
