This isn't a great place to stay for a family. Most guests seemed to be business people on route elsewhere and it would be ideal for that. Tocksfors itself was also the ugliest and most depressing place we saw in Scandinavia. Can't really blame the Turistgarden for that though!

Staff were very helpful and moved us when couple in a neighbouring room were being very loud and strange.

There was no hairdryer, a big deal for me. I couldn't imagine that such places don't have at least one hairdryer. It was strange to see two disposable plastic cups in the room, what are they for?

The breakfast was very modest. But the room was very nice, large, especially impressed that almost the whole wall was in the windows, they overlooked the river. There was a kitchen with utensils and appliances nearby - very convenient.

Even though the place is listed as a youth hostel it was possible to get a hotel-stay. Our room was nice with almost an extra room where you could sit and relax. The breakfast was simple but still had everything we wanted.

Some people might find the rooms a bit noisy as the buildings are old: you will hear if someone is using the common facilities etc. yet we got a good night sleep anyway and were able to continue our way relaxed the next morning.

Comfortable, easy and simple place to stay on our way to Oslo. Friendly and helpful staff. Good shops nearby.

I have no negative experience.

Very friendly staff. I got a room upgrade for silence for free. It was a very hot day and a large silent fan gave me adequate cooling. The view from the room was magnificient with water channel outside. The breakfast was simple but it was felt like home.

No soundproofing to speak of, and there were several groups of guests arriving quite noisily in the middle of the night (2-3am). It probably depends on weekday and what building one ends up in, but do take earplugs just in case. The window blind in my room was easy enough to get down, but really tricky to get up again in the morning. And there's very few channels available on TV.

Very convenient location, good value for money, simple but nice room, very clean. It's nice to have access to a kitchen while also being able to book a room with private bathroom. Surprisingly comfortable bed, and the room had everything one needs. Breakfast was decent, nothing special, but it's a good offer considering there's not many options around. All in all a good place to stop for the night when driving long distance.

I'm not sure if it's common in Sweden, but charging for sheets and towels for me is a bit taking advantage of the situation. You reserve via Booking for a price, and when you arrive you need to pay extra for those things

Nothing just to be warm , im paye 3600kr for six days and i have been to PayPal extra 100kr for blanket 20 kr for tow and 95kr for breakfast i get very small room 2m square pour 2

Nothing to dislike.

Everything was perfect. Room was clean, area was perfect, hosts were very friendly and had great English, breakfast was delicious. Very good value for money. I would recommend this place to anyone. Tack!

Right near major shopping but felt like on a farm with a river view behind. Great condition, furnishing, personal touches. Full kitchen available just down the hall from our suite. Friendly people and great free breakfast buffet!
