The owner was very hands on. He was patient with my arrival and made sure I have everything I need. He also gave me a map of the most common tourist spot and told me the entrance which was very handy. The location is close to Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Reclining Buddha.

The walls and doors are a little thin so you can hear others decently well if they are being loud. I threw in some earplugs because two girls decided to have a party in the bathroom area. Earplugs took care of it. It’s probably usually not an issue as everyone else in the hostel was extremely respectful. Also, a more comfortable seating area in the lobby would be great for eating or reading a book. Minor things…I would absolutely stay here again and again.

Oil was very helpful at checkin and during my stay. They are always available via WhatsApp if needed. The whole place was VERY clean. Good shower pressure. Very private beds in the dorms with a personal light, shelf, and outlet. Right around the corner from 7/11.

The location was perfect in terms of sight seeing temples. Management was also very helpful. Throughout our stay, our room was cleaned daily. Great view of Wat Arun and close to the pier. Oh yeah, the beds. The beds are comfortable and definitely a highlight.

I was forced to move from one dorm to another because all my roommates from my first room departed and they wanted to consolidate people. Hmm. Originally I reserved a single room but it seems it was for two people so I was moved to my first dormitory and first knew about that when I arrived. It would have been nice if they had notified me beforehand. But let me stress it was a great stay and despite my whining and I would stay there again!!!

Very friendly staff that helped me with tours and onward bus. Great location. Surprisingly quiet. Great stay for the price.

I could say this was the best bed we've tried in Thailand, but compared with the kindness from the staff, that amazing bed was nothing haha.. Thank you Chaiwat Hostel for all your help 💖 I recommend it to everyone and I'll be back for sure.

Really wish there was a 24/7 reception. Check-in and Check-out was handeled in a perfect way though. I wish there was hand-soap available.

Great location, the owner and his family are lovely and helpful. The place is new and clean. Easily locked my stuff away - under bed lockers. Had a really great time and would recommend staying here.

Was a great location for the grand palace, temples & piers for ferries Busy area but very quiet at the end of a side street Brand new still needs the kitchen and reception area finished Great showers best l had in 3 weeks of hostelling “Oil” the owner will help you with anything she can. Her English is limited but she is a sweetheart.

All the staff were incredibly helpful, giving great recommendations for some lovely restaurants in area. Close to public transport such as the Meteo and temples, such as Wat Phra Chetuphon.

24 hour reception would be nice but otherwise it’s a wonderful hostel

It’s a brand new hostel with lots of wonderful features: curtains for privacy, individual wall outlets and lamps in each bed. Location is fantastic!! It’s right on the river. I uploaded a photo of the view from the river (you don’t see it from the room but it’s just out the front door.😄) Only a 3-5 min walk from the metro. There are tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. The grand palace is about a 15 min walk and it’s a beautiful walk! The family that owns it are very nice. They usually close up at 6pm but they waited till 9pm to check me in and till 8pm the following day so I could pick my bag from their storage.

Extremely rude staff..They do not know how to treat customer.They did not allow me early check in although I had requested a month back and they had agreed. The reason being their policy of 2 pm check in. Even though beds are available they won't let you check in. While leaving they were intolerably bad behaving..Never seen staff treating customer like this. Such ill mannered people. Even though I tried my best to be nice to them they were behaving very rudely again & again.Never going to recommend this hostel to anyone

Good budget stay with clean share toilet, located near old city and mrt station. the common area is little hot & humid, however at this budget not going to be perfect.
