Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. United States of AmericaThe curtains are very loud on the beds. I personally didnt have great sleeps because of some people coming into the room late, but I’m a light sleeper and that’s just hostel stuff. Would totally stay here again.
Awesoke hostel. Great spaces in terms of comfort and socialization. Lots of chairs and places to sit, kitchen is great. Free breakfast of bread, peanut butter and jelly was so good. James and David are great. Tons of bathrooms. Comfy beds. Quiet side street, but not far from night life.

United KingdomMaybe the bed is a little firm for some.
A hidden gem for a laid back time in bkk. The staff are super helpful and friendly, there’s loads of great books, free breakfast of homemade bread with homemade jams, peanut butter and dolce de leite, TV room with ps5 and Netflix. Seems to attract good guests too and cultivates a really homely atmosphere. The immediate surrounding area is calm but you’re close to night market and other food options. Close to metro, buses and river for transport to the rest of the city. Cheap laundry place 2 minute walk away. Highly recommend

United KingdomOnly thing I could think of was there were a few mosquitos in one of the bathrooms, plus the bathrooms could be ventilated better as they were really stuffy, especially after a shower. But really minor compared to the good things!
Honestly my favourite hostel I’ve been to in Bangkok. Really relaxing atmosphere, nice social areas and a big tv with Netflix, nice people, especially the staff - David and James were super helpful and friendly. Plenty of toilets and showers, quiet at night, plus free toast and jams for breakfast!

BelgiumCan hardly think of something
This is probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is kind and helpful, the common areas feel cozy, you have everything you need to cook (which is quite rare in South East Asia). All the little details are thought of, sleeping light above your bed, soap in the bathroom, the « honesty market » you can get eggs and pasta from.. And the vibe is relaxed and wholesome. Cheers to James for his amazing work.

United States of AmericaStaff wasn't unfriendly, but not super outgoing either. Beds were a bit uncomfortable in my opinion.
Lounge area and homemade bread every morning was incredible. So filling for most of the day.

RussiaEverything is great!
The place is a real gem indeed. James and David (the hosts) do a really good job. The always helped me with advice and were nice and welcoming generally. The place itself has several floors. You can chill on the second one or watch a movie on the top one. It is also good for solo travellers as everybody pretty much gathers in the morning to eat freshly baked bread and delicious peanut butter. Booked for 3 days but stayed a week. It is also worth mentioning that the place is clean as the cleaning lady works pretty much every day. Can be a lil bit messy in the evening due to a big number of people but generally cleaniness is well-maintained, which is a hugeeeee plus!

United KingdomLike the other comments have said - this is definitely a hostel made by someone who knows what it’s like to travel. It’s such a great vibe. No reception, just a homely kitchen. One thing I found amazing about the place was how unbelievably clean it was, despite it being kept like a home, run on trust. There are books everywhere and great places to chill. Love this hostel and would definitely come back.

Hong KongThat I had to leave!
Everything was great! I booked it because of its high rating and it didn't disappoint! I met such amazing people at this place and I'm sure it's the hostel itself that attracts people who are respectful and cool. Despite it being new, the owners and staff are doing their best to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Really it was the best experience I've had in a long time. They serve delicious homemade fresh bread, jam, manjar for breakfast (and I don't normally eat breakfast!)

IrelandIt's the first time that I'm coming back to the same hostel, and it's happening for a good reason. It really looks like a hostel that was planned by a solo traveler that knows what's important and what's not. It is super easy to socialise here, but still chill, it's not a party hostel. The beds are comfy, and the showers are clean. James is awesome and will do whatever it takes in order to make your stay more pleasant.

United States of AmericaThere's a good reason for the high rating. It's well-deserved. You don't find many hostels that feel like a home nowadays. The owner is from Chile and he's around most days just hanging out. He bakes fresh bread in the evening for breakfast as well as churns his own peanut butter and makes his own jams. They have a little "honest market" if you want some snacks or eggs. Breakfast isn't listed as included, but it's there and it's the one thing everyone raves about. Bangkok is a logistic stop for a lot of people and this was such a nice home base. I spent a couple of days just lounging around, chatting, drinking coffee, and editing some photos. There's lounge spaces in different nooks of the hostels, so you can hang out with others or alone. A very social hostel in this aspect. You can order food from the stalls right out front and just bring it back and eat it at the hostel. The location is great with lots of restaurants and businesses around. I'd be happy to stay here again whenever I'm back in Bangkok. Plenty of restroom and showers outside if someone's already using the one in the room. Can't say a single bad thing about this place. There are also so many great books around if you want to read or buy.

JapanSometimes during video calls, the Wi-Fi was weak and caused the video to freeze.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS HOSTEL!! I kept extending my stay. All the staff genuinely care about both the hostel and their guests so much. (I even wish they could be more relaxed and take some rest.) Towels and an amazing homemade breakfast are provided for free. Wifi works fine anywhere. The common area is air-conditioned and offers plenty of space for socializing. It's a very sociable hostel at all times. In the female dorm, there's even a balcony to hang your clothes.
