We stayed on 2nd floor facing the street view because of the poor installation on windows, we hear all kinds of sound from street. It feels like I am sleeping on street.

Subway system is excellent. Room is small for three people. Bed is uncomfortable. Window installation is poor. Cool air flows in.

Bad smell on lobby and in the room. Bathroom is unclean. Carpet in whole object is very unclean. The mattress has holes in it.

Our room was not nearly as nice or clean as what is shown on the hotel or booking.com websites. In the pictures it looks very clean and attractively decorated. The hotel room rates seem to fluctuate greatly from month to month. We happened to book when the rates were quite high. I would stay here again because of the great location and convenience, but only if I were able to get a room for less than $150 per night.

The location of this hotel was great! There are subway stations just steps from the hotel. We were able to travel all over Manhattan in every direction very easily. Also, there are many great restaurants and coffee shops to choose from nearby. We booked a room with a private bathroom.

It needs finishing touches- everything was a bit slapdash. Don’t think masking tape was used when painted, so over the sink/tiles, etc. General air of decline. Blinds in first room didn’t close.

The staff were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. The first room we were given wasn’t really suitable for the 5 of us, but the lovely lady on reception offered us another room for the next day without being asked. It was perfect for the 5 of us. Clean and had everything we needed. The photos online look better than reality and the hotel is in dire need of some love and a facelift, but saying that it was reasonably priced and its location is excellent. Each floor has extra bathrooms as well, so it was easy for us to get ready in the morning. so A 1 min walk to the subway, there is a CVS pharmacy seeking a range of things on tge corner. You can walk the high line (2 mins away) and little islands (5 min walk) and round the corner from Chelsea Market (which is fantastic). There is also a fantastic pizzeria opposite called Rosetta, which my boys loved.

The roaches. Flooring in the room was soft and felt like it was going to fall in. Also the pictures show a breakfast area and computer area. Neither of them are there. It’s a small area that is very dirty with everything labeled “employee only “ I brought my own bleach for the communal bathroom, I recommend you do the same!!!

2 bathrooms per floor, 1 one them didnt have a working lock. Not that clean either, bugs in there and the soap dispenser built up on a pile. Matress had deep dents on the right side. They should turn them over more often. No elevator as stated but also not that steady handrails either. Be careful when you walk up or down with your heavy staircase. I dont think the price I paid was fair for what I got - but luckily I had plans all days and didn't really spend much time in there anyway
