Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandI would have liked when the cleaning lady cleaned my room that she put new refreshments (tea, coffee and milk)on my tray as I ran out and I had to ask reception for more. I would have liked some furniture on my balcony as I was lucky to have some nice weather and would have liked the opportunity to sit out in the sun.
The location was good, the bed was comfortable, room and bathroom were very clean. I had an issue with the toilet as it was leaking but I have to say as soon as I brought it to the attention of the guy on reception, he had it dealt with right away.

Not our first time staying here, and we always love it. The room is spacious and has a kitchenette. The location is perfect (walking distance to great dining places and sights), the terrace is just cool!

United StatesI didn’t like how there was one elevator that broke and I had to wait 30 mins only for me to still have to walk up 11 flights of stairs. I also didn’t like that I found stains of the quilt that was provided for me. Stains like food stains period stains it was disgusting
I liked the balcony aspect of the room. I also like the space of the room.

United StatesThe fact that the reception desk was always busy when I called. But yet when ever I was in the reception the person on duty was never on the phone. A colleague staying at the hotel said he had no problems contacting reception when he called. Which leads me to believe there's a problem with the phone in room 804.
The reception desk was busy every time I called, room 804. I reported that the floor of the shower was moving / soft underfoot, room 804. It maybe rotting out. The guy on the reception didn't seem to be concerned or appreciate the information, but may have noted it down. I couldn't tell due to his lack of interest.

United StatesWe booked a room with a kitchen but were given one without. When I inquired, they said there had been a maintenance problem with the room we should have had. Problems happen, but it would have been nice if they had informed us and given us a partial refund before I asked. When I did inquire, they promised to pursue a refund, so I'm waiting to see what happens. I also had to ask for linens for the pull-out bed.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great. The bed was comfortable. The heat worked well.

United Kingdomwe didn’t see any of the lobby/lounge scenes from the photos… I think this must be a separate building? the hotel itself is very small, with very narrow hallways and only one lift. the room overall was very basic, fine for our one night stay as we didn’t spend much time there at all, but I was expecting a lot more given the photographs in the listing, which didn’t at all represent the stay that we had. it was also very hot and there was no AC which meant we had to open the window to street noise.
great midtown location within short walking distance to loads of places, restaurants, bars, koreatown etc. was a cheap and cheerful place for one night and our room was spacious enough. nothing glitz and glam about it, but it was fine for one night and the staff were friendly.
