Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe gym is particularly small with only one treadmill and one bike with a few small weights. Could easily be improved to have more equipment.
The room itself was very clean and appliances all new. Bed was comfy and the air-con worked well. Bathroom was well stocked with amenities. Location was great and fairly quiet at night for a peaceful sleep.

United StatesTheir a/c is just a fan that blows non stop. It’s extremely loud. I had a DND sign on my door the entire stay as I always do. Someone clearly entered my room while I was out. Should’ve requested a door lock audit. That is unacceptable. I knew they did because my things were moved around in both the room and in the bathroom. Elevator was broken a few times during the stay.

The room was a good size for Manhattan. The bed was huge and super comfortable, and the bathroom was very modern and fun, especially the shower. It was close to all the things we wanted to do.

IrelandTo start, the hotel had a pervasive darkness throughout, aligning with its design theme. However, this dim ambiance extended beyond the lobby into the rooms, and navigating the complex lighting system was a challenge. Additionally, the insistence of the doormen and bellhops on carrying our bags, despite our preference to handle them ourselves, was notable. Furthermore, due to a language barrier, there was confusion regarding the delivery of our bags, creating an uncomfortable situation that could have been easily avoided. Though generally amiable, one particular doorman consistently pulled doors instead of pushing them, and emanated a strong odor of marijuana. Despite these drawbacks, the overall stay was pleasant, and I may consider returning in the future, although I remain undecided.
The location was pleasant and felt secure. The hotel was well-maintained and tidy. During our stay, we occupied two rooms: one Nomad Suite for three people and one Standard King Room for two people. Both rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, not to mention the friendliness of the cleaning staff that went above and beyond to make sure our every need was taken care of.

The location is quiet and very convenient. Close to Fifth avenue; easy to stroll along Madison Avenue; even having late night dining at Korean Town are just within 15 minutes of walk. The doorman Ian is a big help and treasure of AKA Nomad.
