Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHotel location was fantastic. 'A' train from JFK stops just around the corner. There are a couple of little newsagents over the road if you need to pick up any water or snacks. There is also the 'American Irish Bar' directly opposite that serves food late into the evening and a Joes Pizza 2 min along the road. All very handy if you get back late after a day exploring the city. Staff at the hotel were superb all very friendly and even left an 18th Birthday for my daughter in her room.. Rooms were very comfortable and very clean. 👍

The staff in this hotel are probably the best I have ever dealt with. Very helpful. The location was also a big plus as it is so close to many attractions and the subway is very close to get to any others. Lots of restaurants and bars close by.

GreeceThe location of Artezen hotel is unique. Is locaetd two blocks away form 9/11 memorial and one world. A small walk away is baterry park. Also Fulton station is a few steps away and many lines of the subway pass through the station. The staff is very friendly . Also was a very clean hotel. A bit noisy, as our room was facing John street, but it's the city that never sleeps! The size of the room was decent if you compare it with other hotels in NYC. Overall was a value for money choice for us, and we had a pleasant stay

The room had space. the Shower was big and there was light on the mirror. There was desk in the room for those who would also like to work. The staff were very nice particularly Daniel, Steven and Peter, their politeness stood out.

EcuadorStaff was very polite, friendly and helpful all the time. Hotel location is AAA, since it is in a safe area, next to Wall Street and the WTC, in the middle point of distance from Uptown and from Brooklyn. The room and the bathroom were always clean and hot water was available all the time. The room was equipped with a coffee nespresso machine with capsules, a safe box and a comfortable desk that I used to do some work with my laptop. Price was very convenient considering average prices of the city. I'll definitely choose again Artezen Hotel in a future visit to NY.

Germanythere was really nothing bad about the stay.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and nice. Compared to other hotels in NY in this category this one was the best of them all. And it's no exaggeration. Very good price for what you get. I usually search for a long time when I want to book a Hotel and I was very curious that this Hotel had nearly only very good reviews. Usually a strange sign for Hotels in NY but after the stay I can understand why most people just had a great experience. They deserve the great reviews. Awesome location. Close to all the sights in lower Manhattan and not even a minute to walk to Fulton Station which is very well connected to all Subway-Lines. Also the concierge stood out to me. Very friendly and very helpful even if you're just looking for a nice place to eat. It was really a great experience and I'll definitely go there again.

United States of AmericaNothing, only thing that bothered me was a smell in the lobby, which I assume was some sort of scent diffuser that just wasn't to my taste. I'm sure some other people like it.
Room was comfortable, if a little small. Was perfect for one person or a couple, would be difficult to fit a bassinet. Had a mini fridge, coffee maker, and a perfectly acceptable bathroom. Did not use the TV. Was quiet in spite of being in a very central location to the FiDi. Staff in lobby were friendly and efficient.

Everything - Hotel Artezen is exceptional, the photos don’t do it justice. All the staff were outstanding but a special shout-out to Christan for his help. Our double queen room was bigger than expected with lovely touches e.g. coffee machine, fridge, snacks & water, robe’s etc. Spotlessly clean throughout & proper sound proofing meant we got a great night’s sleep. Whilst FiDi isn’t the first choice of location for tourists it’s right next to Fulton St subway hub, that pretty much takes you everywhere, walking distance to the NYC ferries & all lower Manhattan’s attractions including the start of the Brooklyn Bridge walk. Location means you get much better value for money & a truly great stay! Would highly recommend & will stay here again when we return to NYC.
