Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI would have liked the option to choose a female only room. I did end up with 3 men and myself in a room, but everyone was very respectful and pleasant.
Conveniently located near everything I needed. Publix grocery and places to eat within easy walking distance. The hostel had everything I needed for a short stay. Everyone was friendly.

SpainI would have preferred to have a locker in the room. People are serious and nobody got anything stolen or lost, however, as it is open for public, things can happen fast with no notice.
Close to a train station, there is Publix supermarket nearby, the house has a kitchen and you can use the y ustensiles freely. You can cook and there is also a microwave. The occupants of the house were so nice and they even shared their food! I really appreciate that, great people! There are two bathrooms, and the rooms include 4 bunk beds each. I enjoyed my stay there!

People are very kind and nice there. Clean, homey. The boss Jean and his wife are super helpful. They treat me like a brother. I can get some friend service for free. This feeling is really wonderful just like you live together with some good friends even the place is not so big. But good position closing to downtown and cheep price.

Poland1. The staff dosn't speak english -just spanish. 2. Beds really uncomfortable (especially these upper). 3. Rooms are MIXED. Even if u wrote that u wanna be with smbd in the room they will tell u u that in one room one bed left and in other room one bed left. 4. Neibourhood not safe. After 8pm it will be better for u to be already in hostel. 5. They changed the name of hostel- before that it was brazilian hostel. 6. There is no seperated wardrobe. Everyone in the room have one wardrobe and your stuff will be next to someones. 7. No privacy as curtains in the bed. 8. In my room there was one key and because of that we must left open room all the time!!! Take you passport with u. For one night okay, but not for your whole stay
1. Hot water in the shower 2. Place to smoke in the back of hostel

United States of AmericaEverything about it is good. The only bad thing I can say about it is there are a lot of mosquitos outside due to standing water. Perhaps something could be done about it. Some people are very sensitive to them, so for them it could be a problem. But it was raining a lot that week, so maybe it was a one off thing.
The property is not highly commercial in nature like most other hostels. It is more personal like a house. Most guests are Hispanic and from other countries. Unfortunately, I am not Hispanic or speak the language, so I was unable to converse much with the other guests there. However, I still felt like I fit in as I am also from another country, and everyone there was very nice. The hostel sort of reminds me of a family setting in a way. The beds are very comfortable and I like how the bed frames are thick unlike ones in some other economic hostels. Kitchen has more tools than I expected.

United KingdomThis is not a typical hostel for travellers , but a workers' hotel. When I got there, the house smelled of fried meat and in the kitchen mens cooked like at home. It was easy to say they are feel like at home in there. There were no lockers and the room was not very clean. However the bed was clean. I slept in many hostels in my life but unfortunately, I didn't feel safe there and didn't stay there overnight. Communicating in English was impossible.

Germany- the staff does not know English, communication is via a translator, no one responds to sent messages, I received the door code and wifi password from a roommate (later from an employee), male staff enters the room without knocking, looks around the room as if looking for something, often they use the bathroom and Restroom in the room, without explanation, it’s more of a staff hotel than a hostel, the male staff is loud and doesn’t respect to guests
it was clean

CanadaFelt dangerous, many people lived there full time and were not travellers. one person we were in a room with was threatening and mentally unstable. There was so security checks and even though it was a women’s only room men would just walk in to “use the bathroom”. Even when the bathroom in the hall was vacant. No security as the female dorm had no passcode lock. Has been the worst hostel we’ve ever stayed at.

NetherlandsThis is not a typical hostel. It's a house with most people staying there for a long time (all Spanish speaking). Lots of noise late in the evening and during the night. People just come in 'your' 4 person dorm to make use of bathroom. No feeling of privacy. Check-in is weird as you just have to be lucky that somebody is there to walk you to your bed. I had to call the contact number 3 times.
Location is good, close to downtown.
