Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyI think Queen room was a little small for its value and the AC was kind of noisy, even at the fan mode it was loud. When we turned off the fan, it got hot. For those who are not light sleepers like I am it might not affect or maybe it was something related to our room, still a note to take.
The location is perfect, just two blocks away from the Central Park as well as Rockefeller Center. The room was spotless, very clean. We stayed for five nights and have the room cleaned once, it was very neatly cleaned, sheets and towels changed. The area of the hotel is also convenient, however right now there is a construction going on. Although we haven’t heard anything from our room at the ninth floor, it might change for other rooms. There are lot of restaurants and cafes around, very practical for a quick lunch or dinner. Also the breakfast was all we could’ve asked for, omlette with cheese was warm and different pastries. They even had cartons for taking to-go.

United StatesNo major complaints, our stay was quite excellent. As a personal preference, having a small coffee pot option in the rooms would take the hotel to the next level (especially early in the morning), but there is coffee and tea available downstairs, so it's not a dealbreaker by any means.
The rooms are not big but they are very comfortable. The daily breakfast, coffee station and 24 hour snack bar are a wonderful amenity and definitely worth it in value. Staff is very welcoming and the location is unbeatable. We enjoyed our stay and were minutes away from the MoMA, Central Park, Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center and 5 Ave.

United StatesThe first room I was offered, on the third floor, faced the street, with garbage cans, portable restrooms, and construction on Carnegie Hall--all on view. On the reservation, I had requested a rear room, and my room was changed the next morning. Although street noise woke me early in the original room, my stay in the rear-facing room was uniformly peaceful. So, in this hotel, a rear-facing room might be considered by many as preferable to a room facing West 56th Street, unless on a higher floor, above the unattractive street view and morning traffic and noise. Regarding my fifth-floor room, I liked almost everything except for the small size of the bathroom. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and restful. I had a queen room, which was perfect for a solo traveler but perhaps a bit tight for some couples.
When I finally was offered the room I'd requested (see below), I enjoyed almost everything about the clean, modern, well-planned accommodations. Comfortable bed, wall safe, good storage spaces, soothing lighting, wonderful shower. And a sound-proofed, quiet room. Little noise in the hall, with only four rooms per floor. My three out of four nights in the fifth-floor rear room were among the best I'd ever spent in a New York hotel. This hotel excels in multiple ways: great front-desk service, perfect midtown location, regular and meticulous housekeeping service, and amenities such as a hot breakfast and coffee, tea, soft drinks, and snacks available at the breakfast bar, 24 hours a day. The entire front desk staff were attentive and welcoming. Special kudos to Elijah, always pleasant and helpful, and also to Pablo, Delia, and other front-desk attendants whose names I didn't catch. I would stay at the Carnegie again in a heartbeat.

United KingdomRoom was small, but that’s to be expected in New York. We would have liked more fruit options at breakfast.

United Arab EmiratesThe suitcase stand is part of the TV and table station and it is not possible to fully open the suitcase without bumping into the shelf - strange design that is not functional. No vegan options at breakfast at all. However, there is Pret cafe nearby which is vegan-friendly.
Fantastic location within a 3-minute walk to Central Park (despite some noise from Carnegie Hall construction). Very good shower, Rituals branded bathroom supplies, relatively quiet street. Bathrobe was comfortable and AC was new and worked very well. Overall the hotel is new or recently refurnished.

United KingdomAt the time of our stay there was building work being undertaken on Carnegie Hall opposite the hotel so our initial room was noisier than we would have liked. We mentioned this and were relocated without issue. The breakfast area is quite small and can at times become crowded with guests getting breakfast but this was not an issue for us.
The location and price were prime drivers in the choice of this hotel. We wanted to be a short walk from the southern end of Central Park, 5th Avenue, MOMA and Times Square. There are numerous reasonably priced dining options on 56th Avenue or nearby for both breakfast or evening meals. The staff were friendly and helpful. A pleasant touch is a 'happy hour' each evening with complimentary wine and nibbles. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. We liked the 24/7 hot and cold drinks available and nibbles.

United KingdomThe outside noise was a little intrusive at times but manageable as we were on the 16th floor. It might be a problem for rooms on low floors facing the street
Excellent location and very friendly knowledgeable staff. Our room was faultless and exceeded our expectations as it was very spacious ( we booked a King Junior Suite) with floor to ceiling windows.
