Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI personally did not like the pillows and the fact it’s by the river. Noises are intense there even during the night. However, in Manhattan noises are an issue even downtown.
The staff is super good. Very professional and always there to pamper you.

United States of AmericaThe location might be a bit disadvantageous for travelers visiting NYC for sightseeing. Heliport and ferry traffic can cause a bit of noice.
Excellent for events and all things business. Ample and beautiful space to meet, lunch and lounge. 2min walk to the heliport makes the location easily accessible from any NYC airport.

United States of AmericaWould have liked to have been warned about Ferry's and their LOUD Horns wee ll into the night 3:00am, un able to sleep do to ferry directly outside my window. Lobby Staff very much the opposite of Valet and door persons , questioning ,unfriendly ,disrespectful. I dress in Suit and tie, and was treated like I was some sort of street Bum, and that I had no business coming in. They need better training ! If you have some sort of problem with people coming in your Hotel , then find a way for Hotel Guest to be recognized, and respected.

ZimbabweI did not find anything that I did not like at Casa Cipriani
The facilities are exceptionally well-kept in cleanliness and the emphasis on privacy and maintaining decorum (especially decency in dressing) at all times is very pleasant

BelgiumWe were surprised to learn that the reception/concierge does not order cabs ... instead they advice you to use a service like Lyft (which we did :)). You can hire a private driver who will assist you personally while driving around NY. Not the best option for our plans however. What is nice is that taxis can drive up to the lobby while covered from the rain and wind; again pure luxury ... :)
This is without a doubt a very luxurious hotel! We booked it because of the incredible view on the Hudson river together (both room & restaurant). This absolutely met our (high) expectations. The restaurant was one of the best we experienced in NY. Also the room and all other aspects of the hotel werer very luxurious so what's not to like? That being said, it might not be the best choice if you are solelely for tourist purposes as the hotel is more targetted at a business clientel and a networking location in NY.

United States of AmericaThe horns of the boats kept waking me up but I realize this is not something the hotel can control. But it would be nice for the hotel to warn you or put sound machines in the rooms to drown out the noise when you sleep.
Everything about this property is exceptional -- most especially if the weather is nice and you can enjoy the outdoor terrace / bar area on the 5th floor with a view of the Statue of Liberty. Only downside is the ongoing horns of boats coming/leaving the dock area that you hear through the night.

United States of AmericaOn the other hand, when I dined at a small table by the bar at the other end, one evening, the service was risible. I had to request a glass of water, which was never refilled. I also had to request salt and pepper, while listening reluctantly to far too much about the staffs’ personal lives. Reception is gracious, but each time I entered, I was asked whether I was a hotel guest. There were very few hotel guests, and at this price point, I expect to be greeted by name.
The Cipriani’s dining room is the loveliest, and has the most exhilarating view in Manhattan. The food was beautifully presented, and the dining room staff well trained, especially at breakfast. When the rooftop pool opens, it will be a spectacular setting.

United States of AmericaThe room was rather smaller than my expectation and for the prices at least I thought the room will come with a bathtub. The prices in the spa were exaggerated so we ended up not using it. We wanted to have a little getaway in the heart of NY but the hotel only offered the comfortable room and nice dinner/breakfast so overall it would be considered very expensive for the value.
Exclusivity. The staff were super nice and the restaurant was quite nice.

GreeceFront office staff was terrible for a hotel as such. Not helpful at all and rude many times. Lost something in a room and had to beg them two days in a row so that they make the smallest effort of helping us find it. I won't even start talking about the opposite desk where the concierge and club staff are located. The only words that would characterise them would be stuck-up and snob. I understand it's a Cipriani but they don't own the place..still one of New York's most expensive hotels, they should aline with a similar service. Location of the hotel was great with great views but be careful of the room allocation. There's a heliport just next to the hotel which works morning to night. Some friends got the corner room overlooking the heliport and had a rough time enjoying their stay. Also there's a ferry terminal just below the hotel so there are ferries honking 24/7. The SPA was terrible. Apparently other than guests, members can also use it and the gym and it actually feels like an outside gym&spa where everyone could go with a subscription. Too crowded, changing rooms were in terrible condition, seeing people going in and leaving with theirs gym bags didn't brings out a privacy or luxury. They kept me waiting more than an hour so that they take me in for my treatment and they were so busy with everything that they didn't even think to tell me to use the facilities like the sauna or the hamam until they're ready. Gym looked great.
Hotel looked great, the club on the 5th floor was really nice. Would be great if there was a part of it at least open 24/7. There was no place in the hotel to sit with your friends or just work when it closed. A la carte breakfast was really good and amazing views. Night front office agent totally made our visit worth it, super helpful.
