Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere was nothing about the Casablanca hoteI I didn't like. It *is* right off Times Square so light sleepers might have a problem but it didn't bother me and I loved the buzz of activity.
The location was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions I had.

United States of AmericaWas there anything we didn't like?? I don't think so! More electrical outlets in the room would have been nice, but it didn't affect our enjoyment of being at Casablanca.
We loved the staff, the location, the 24/7 access to drinks and snacks at no charge, the wonderful breakfast and the phenomenal Maria who was there to make sure we had everything we needed, the quietness of the room, the cleanliness of everything, the short distance to the subway, etc. Everything was wonderful, and we can't wait to go back!

Location excellent! Staff was exceptional. So nice to be greeted and feel like a welcome guests, rather than having to access everything electronically. Louis especially helpful. Nice continental breakfast in a lovely space that is accessible all day.

United States of AmericaWe have stayed at the Cassablanca for probably 12-15 years for our family's annual theatre trip. Before COVID, there was a lovely wine and cheese reception late afternoon, which did not occur during COVID (understandable), but was not continued following. We really miss it. Following breakfast, only a small selection of packaged snacks is available. We loved the former special touches. The facilities are fine, but it's clear no updates have occurred for many years, and the property is looking worn (for example, stained decorative pillows, damaged wicker in the bathroom).
The staff was outstanding as usual. Location is perfect for theatre goers.

AustraliaQuirky property; very helpful staff; pleasant breakfast. The room was ok, very comfortable, but smaller than anticipated, but was the last available. This is a small boutique hotel, so important to book a considerable time before arrival. Plus it is in a popular, extremely noisy area. If catching a show is on your agenda, the hotel position is perfect. It is, however, also within walking distance of Central Park, The Met, and MOMA.

Wow amazing hotel that makes the best of all its assets. Everything was really clean, there was an all day lounge with drinks & snacks supplied. Breakfast was simple but fresh & delicious. Bedroom was small but well supplied with lovely toiletries & very clean. The staff were all so friendly. Location is perfect too, just around the corner from Times Square, Broadway shows & Bryant park.

United States of AmericaThe only tiny criticism I have is that I prefer firmer pillows and ours were on the soft side. It occurs to me however that there may have been an extra pillow in the room closet. Our stay was a busy one so I didn’t properly investigate!

United KingdomView from room but hey you are in the middle of Manhattan!
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room and bed really comfortable with everything you could require provided. The lounge where you could get teas coffee and snacks at any time of day was really appreciated after a day of exploring the city. The hotel was within walking distance of many attractions New York has to offer and proximity to subway made easy access to more distant ones. There are excellent restaurants nearby.
