All good cos it was exactly as described, and why I chose it.

The 60's movie style of the hotel and the location. It was a quick subway trip or even a walk to Times Squarecand Broadway

Nothing although would have been nice to have been on a lower floor. Stairs were steep!

Loved the location and the staff- very kind! The bed was very comfortable and we loved the movie posters on the wall.

As clearly stated the hotel is stairs only, it didn't bother us at all, but everyone has to take this into account. Room was small but bearable - typical for NYC studio apartment

Great location - nice area around, clean and safe, many places to eat, next to subway station. Distant from loudest ares, most noisy streets and squares. Quiet. Extremely helpful and friendy staff, nice common area on the ground floor with basic kitchen and patio - tea and coffee always avaialble for free. Very clean.

Turn on the fans to block out the street noise. Hot water was more like warm water, but was sufficient.

Couple hundred yards from the subway station, and in the heart of meat packing district. Location was great for starting any trip in Manhattan. Steps from Chelsea Market, the highline and waterfront. Easy to get anywhere when the subway stop is on the same corner. Friendly staff, safe area, clean rooms, relaxing, at a great rate. Unique stay that wasnt your typical chain hotel, which is what I was looking for.

No control of the air conditioning so we had to plug in a fan the room had, made my partners allergies act up. Shower was also a little grimy.

Property was so cute and very well located. The highline park was only 5 minutes away and the water just a little further. The subway was around the corner too! Our room was cozy, bed was extremely comfortable, and every morning we sat on the porch downstairs with coffee. It was the perfect homebase for us, and a great deal. Would stay again and recommend to budget travelers!

    • Deluxe Apartment

The furniture, while in good condition, appeared outdated, which affected the overall aesthetic. Additionally, having only one bathroom proved to be a minor inconvenience, especially during peak times. Despite the spacious kitchen, which boasted a great layout and oven, we found the appliances to be somewhat limited. Many basic amenities that one would expect in a rental property were missing, which made meal preparation a bit challenging. Overall, while the apartment offered some desirable features, the outdated furniture and limited amenities were notable drawbacks.

The highlight is the staff! super friendly and always willing to help. The apartment we stayed in was a good option. It offered a sense of privacy, which was important to us. The space was spacious, allowing us to move around without feeling cramped. Natural light flooded the rooms. As for the beds, they were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring. Overall, we were pleased with the apartment and would consider staying there again in the future.

They used to have breakfast in the morning but stopped doing it! Was a nice treat staying at Chelsea Pines.

Fun NYC hotel with a kitschy twist. Love the fun themed room honoring the greats of old classic Hollywood. Location is great, close to train stations, markets and at walk right into Chelsea area. It’s always one of my favorite places to stay in nyc

The hotel has 5 floors and no elevator. Climbing to a room on the top floor is quite tiring. I would not take a room on that floor again.

The hotel is very well located, cosy and on a big but quiet street, right next to a subway station. There is a kitchen and a back yard where you can have a breakfast and bring your dinner if you want. The hotel has a Hollywood theme which was quite amusing.

The room was quite narrow but normal for NYC. The little room that held the toilet was so small I couldn't tolerate closing the door all the way, it was almost touching my knees.

Amazing location and great value. Very close walk to our concert venue, the High Line and Little Island. Tons of restaurants in walking distance. No elevator but that was clearly stated at booking so I didn't mind and since they were not full the staff gave us 2nd floor.

Some things in the room itself needed maintenance: the majority of electric outlets didn't work, and the window was relatively dirty & dusty.

The location, the common first-floor facilities, and mostly the interior design/style were really nice. It was (relatively) quiet, despite our room window facing the street. The stairs are steep, but fine as long as you are aware of it.
