Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaRoom was very small, pool was under repair and no bacon on the breakfast buffet.
A lot cheaper than hotels in the downtown area.

United KingdomDated dark rooms. Black out curtain was broken and the room wasn’t the cleanest but passable. The smell in the room was so overpowering and awful. Reception did offer another room but that smelt exactly the same so we stayed where we were. They said it was the smell of their air freshener, housekeeping spray the rooms with. I suppose that put me at ease a little bit because it was something they added rather than the smell of something dying in the room!! A nice fresh linen or floral smell in the room would have been much better than the industrial awful smelling air freshener they used. We kept our door wedged open when we were in it. I slept with the nice bed linen over my face, which helped disguise the smell.
Breakfast was the best part of our stay! Lots to choose from (cereals, pastries, pancake and waffle makers, fresh fruit, fruit juices, tea and coffee) and a chef cooking omelettes just the way you like them. Beds were comfortable (pillows not so much!). They used good quality feeling bed linen which was nice and soft. Reception had an area with two massage chairs for guests, drinks machine, information leaflets stand, a guest computer and printer and also had a little store where you could buy essentials. Lots of parking available.

Close to the gulch and boardway without the noise. The free breakfast was good. Love the pancake machine. Also a number of great bars and restaurants near the hotel too.

United States of AmericaThe toilet was dirty when i I entered my room. There was dry blood on the side of the toilet. Cleaning people came but then there was an oder of vomit. I was changed into a different room. The new room was cleaner but bugs would come in the bathroom. Front desk was not as nice or happy. They are too serious.

United States of AmericaThe facility is rather old and it needs a make over. I also thought the rate was high for a 1-night stay on a Sunday. Didn't like the extra parking charge either.
Great location and rich breakfast. Spacious room, too, but the facility needs a big make over. Walking distance to the Gulch neighborhood where there is plenty of amenities.

CanadaThe room was not the cleanest. The walls and floors needed a good scrubbing and the furniture and mirrors needed a good dusting.
The breakfast was very good. The location was walkable to downtown Nashville if you are in shape. We averaged 20,000 steps a day. It was pet friendly which was great for us as we are traveling with our dog.

CanadaThe hotel is a little older and could use some TLC. I've stayed there before so I knew what to expect so I wasn't disappointed - just realistic. The breakfast was not up to par, ended up going across the street to an adorable coffee place for the last couple of days for breakfast.
Location of the hotel is superb. A little bit away from the noise of Broadway but close enough to walk both to downtown and to Vanderbilt University. If you don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a place to stay, this place is a gem. Just be realistic with your expectations.
