We stayed for 6 nights and there was no cleaning, changing of sheets etc. There is a charge if you request cleaning for 35$. We changed our toilets by ourselves from the toiletries in the basement.

The location is excellent close to a metro station and the stuff very friendly, there are usually freebies at the reception

The room was on the dirtier side of acceptable. Perhaps a quick clean for guests staying over a week would be fair?

For our NYC plans the location was great - great for Asian food; well connected; close to some iconic neighborhoods. Jasmine was friendly and helpful with some last minute stress. It's not the prettiest accomodation, but that's reflected in the price. It doesn't pretend to be a swanky place.

Rooms are very small and beds are not boxspring but feel shaky. AC was a bit loud.

Inexpensive Hotel within New Yorks high price area. Lower East side is rising, therefore good eat & drink opportunities nearby. Clean rooms, but not very spacious, but thats normal in NYC. Parking is an issue. There is but one garage which charges frivolous prices overnight.

The room was very small and the lighting wasn’t set up well - the top bunk was always in darkness while the bottom bunk was very brightly lit

Like any New York apartments the room was compact. The walk ways in the room- lets just say you need to turn sideways to move around but like I said it’s expected.

The building has no staff on sight but they were able to send a welcome email with all the information on how to access the room. The rooms looked modern and up to date. The bathroom was nice- great shower pressure and extra amenities. Room came with a fridge and microwave as well as a coffee maker.

Bathtub wouldn't drain properly from day 1 and there was an extra cleaning fee.

After reading bad reviews about how small and loud the rooms were I was scared. But luckily my partner and I got a corner room and it was quite big and good for a 2 week stay. Loved the fridge and microwave as well and the view out onto Elridge street. The location is excellent. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and like across the street from 2nd avenue subway. Check in was fairly seamless although communication with them was lack luster beforehand. It was easy to go downstairs to get more toiletries if needed. Also the front desk often had free snacks.

It was quite warm in the room even though the heater was off and the window open. Especially on the weekends you can hear what is happening on the street a lot. It could have been a little bit cleaner upon arrival.

The room has a decent size, and also a quite nice bathroom. It also comes with a fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker. In the basement you can find new towels, bed sheets, soap as well as a station to fill up your water bottle and coffee. For two people the room was optimal. The rooftop is really nice and the view is stunning! There are plenty of great food spots in walking distance and as well as a subway and bus stop.

If you a light slepper be aware that this hotel is close to a main road and a busy area so there will be outside noise.

There was a group of girls staying in 104 down the hall from me that were extremely loud all night long the last 2 nights of my stay. They sounded like they were having a party, screaming and slamming doors and stomping up and down the hall. This went on until early in the morning. This has never happened to me before at the Ridge or anywhere else and I was frustrated that there was no staff there to assist.
