Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe notes others have left regarding the noise are totally accurate and luckily we were prepared with white noise solutions. The hotel would be smart to provide white noise machines in each room. Noise from the street and construction were an issue, but also the walls are thin and you can hear noise from the hallway. We were also prepared for the dark/small bathrooms and I bought a travel lighted makeup mirror which was a godsend. It would have been nearly impossible to get my makeup done well without it, as the room was really dark. They should really amp up the lighting in the bathrooms. Note, the sink is SO small, it was not possible to wash your face in the sink without getting the bathroom soaked. Beds and pillows were fine, definitely could use an upgrade at some point. Another suggestion I'd have would be a self serve coffee/tea station for guests so we don't have to go to the street level each morning and buy coffees- there are spaces on the second floor lounge that would be perfect for this, and it felt a little overwhelming to have to face the public before fully waking up in the morning.
Loved this stylish property and felt very welcomed by the staff! This property offers a great value- it's not a luxury hotel, but it does the trick, and was a great solution for a small group of friends. It worked well as a crash pad since we were out and about most of the day. We appreciated the hair dryer, steamer, bath robes in the room- and housekeeping did a great job. The lounge area on L2 was really pretty and would work well for remote working if needed. We liked the on site bar as well, although the team there wasn't particularly friendly (in particular, the DJ they had was kind of rude and didn't seem like he wanted to be there, but whatever!). Location was convenient and safe, close to transit and walkable to great neighborhoods. I'm pretty particular and was overall really happy with the value of this hotel and the welcoming/friendly staff.

United KingdomTravelling from the UK, we're up early and would have been good to be able to make or get a coffee before the cafe opened at 7.00 am. There is a 24 hour deli across the street, but would have been preferable not to have to go outside at 5.30.
Really nice cool hotel, great residential neighbourhood but convenient to everywhere we needed to be. On site restaurant, cafe and bars, (independently operated) were excellent.

United KingdomI don’t think I realised how big the hotel was (which is my bad) and that it has five bars. Not that it caused any issue, I suppose it was just a little impersonal. We had our daughter with us and there was no where for us to chill out.
Really well located. Close to subway. Lots of places for breakfast.

United KingdomFront desk staff look like they'd rather be elsewhere. Not the best reception. Housekeeping staff lovely though! Lots of little things: Plugs really loose in sockets, so had to weigh them down to use things like the hairdryer, the wood panelling in the rooms is starting to show wear and tear so makes you wonder about its hygiene. Phone didn't work to call reception. Asked for a kettle, which came swiftly, but no cups. When requested got given paper cups + plastic utensils - did the job but basic. Weirdly the TV stations don't match the menu. Sound carried easily through the vents between the bathroom to the next room. And a square wooden bin seemed like a weird choice to keep clean...
The location is superb, right in the middle of things. Easy to walk downtown, 30 mins to The Whitney or High Line. Easy access to 23rd Street subway station. The roof top terrace and bar has a fabulous view. The shower was strong and towels and sheets fresh. The King room size was good, allowing enough room for a yoga mat, a bonus for a city location.

United States of AmericaAt arrival, one of the elevators didn’t move. The room with one single bed was largely over-priced compared to the comfort you can get for the same price in other hotels.
Water pressure !!! This property proved that you do not need to suffer of lacking pressure and alternating hot/cold/hot in showers like is a common problem in more recently constructed buildings. Kind of interesting old style mimicking interiors, like a hotel room from the 50s.

ItalyThere was a continuous noise of water flowing behind the wall; we couldn't understand if it was the hotel pump or the position of our room, the first one after the elevator. It ended up being a kind of white noise, so it was not too annoying, but still... Except for that, it was a good experience.
The location is perfect to walk around and move with the subway. The atmosphere is romantic. The staff was very helpful and kind. The room is big enough for New York standards, and the bed is very comfortable.

United States of AmericaMy friends and I arrived early before the check-in time. However, they allowed us to do an early check-in if the rooms were already available. If not, they offered to hold our belongings and suggested starting our city tour. Fortunately, one out of the two rooms was already available, so we settled in and started our day.

FranceThere was an issue and we didn't have warm water one evening. It was fixed before the next morning, but it would be a nice gesture from the hotel to offer us a coffee or breakfast the following morning.
