Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Stateshousekeeping stored 3 huge towel storage caddies (not sure what they are really called) in the hall leading to our room. not only was it an eye sore, it was dangerous - if there were an emergency, not sure we could have gotten out past those huge things.

GermanyI didn't particularly like the coffee from the machine offered in the morning, but there are lots of coffee places in the area. Also, there seem to be plans to move towards offering a full-fledged restaurant.
The place had been fully refurbished since my last stay and had turned out very nicely. The wooden floor and the marble bathroom were very pleasant, the bed was a too soft for my taste.

United KingdomWhat would have made it even better would have been some type of coffee & tea making facilities but the coffee shop on reception was great but closed at 4pm:(
Everything was fantastic. Room was a lovely size and exceptionally clean. The beds were a delight to sleep in and the towels white and fluffy. Loved the Photographs from 'Life'. Staff were helpful and very smiley. Would come again.

IrelandThe only thing to comment is that our TV didn't work. Despite reporting it, it was not fixed during our stay. Luckily we did not have much free time to watch TV anyway
The location is superb! Close to everything but still hidden away slightly so it felt more relaxing and personal. The room was airy and clean and bed very comfortable. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We would love to come back!

IsraelRoom was smaller than expected, especially when considering the price. We know it's NYC but still, expected it to be bigger based on the pictures.
1. Location is perfect, at the heart of Manhattan & Korea Town, in a relatively quiet street. 3 minute walk from the subway. 2. The hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. We read in the reviews that rooms have no kettle nor fridge, yet we asked the front desk what can be done upon check-in; the team quickly assisted and sent those two facilities to our room for free. 3. Secure luggage storage in the last day with no additional fee. 4. However small, the room was clean and housekeeping was very kind.

United KingdomThe mattress was a little soft for me (my partner said it was fine). The biggest disadvantage is the street noise - if you are used to sleeping with earplugs then it's fine! The reception was not finished (the bar area) when we went, but there's plenty of great places to eat and drink around.
The hotel is in a good central location with good subway connections. The design is nice and the room is spacious, the bathroom looked very nice.

ItalyThe staff at the reception non very welcoming. The guy that made us the check-in asked for cash in exchange of an upgrade of room. We though it was a special treatment but no. A few issues with the water for a few mornings. No natural light in the room but this is easily understandable from the pictures.
The staff at the floor is very friendly. The room is clean and spacious. The hall is wonderful.

United StatesDrawbacks for us: no coffee/tea maker in the room. Coffee was provided in the lobby in the morning but would've liked to make my own. Lobby/bar area were under renovation during our stay. No amenities of that sort available to us at the time. Another minor complaint: no storage. No bureau with drawers. Also, electrical outlets only on one side of room.
Room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The AC worked well. TV was excellent. (We watched NCAA basketball when we returned to the room.) Location is excellent. (Close to 34th St/Herald Square train entrance.) Staff was friendly. Perfect home base for a NYC trip where your room is mostly for sleeping or recharging during the day.

United StatesThe checkout time (11am) was a bit earlier than my personal preference, but it actually worked out well for my itinerary. The bed was not as firm and supportive as I’d like, but I slept just fine. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room, so it might be an inconvenience if we had stayed for several days or longer.
Fantastic location, right by Koreatown and just a short walk to Herald Square, Penn Station, and many restaurants and shops. We did hear some street noise every now and then, but it wasn’t so loud as to disturb our sleep (or maybe we were just too tired). The room we got looked pretty close to the photos online and was quite spacious by NYC standard. I liked the high ceiling and uncluttered look of the space. I also appreciated that the hotel offered both ice and filtered water to guests.

United KingdomThe bathroom door had glass, but the bathroom window didn’t have anything to block out the light. As a result, light streamed into the room despite the blackout blinds on the room window.
