Its location, being an outsider it was difficult to comprehend the ease of movement. It’s near 103rd st. subway station which doesn’t work on weekends and there is no elevator if you’re travelling with large trolleys.

The sheets weren't the cleanest I've used, but also not the dirtiest.

The location of the hostel is great, the rooms were very comfortable and the locker was large enough for my big suitcase.

Really hot in my dormitory 306 and no individual lights. It seems that all dormitories are not the same, so I was perhaps not lucky Not possible to open the window and the AC doesn't work well

The room is few dark and the bathroom is cleaned not so frequently.

Good location, but not so good as I expected. The city is far big and the hostel is far as some touristic places.

Elevator broken at arrival and was very slow to use. Was not informed in advance (on website or otherwise) that locker in room needed padlock so I had to buy one from the hostel (I would have brought one of my own if I had known). It was also slightly unfair to have to pay to store my bag at the hostel (most places do not charge for this service). The cafe in the hostel was also expensive.

Excellent location, very clean facilities, very well-equipped kitchen, friendly staff. Excellent value for money. Great variety of events and activites offered by hostel.

The fan in the bedroom was loud, I used earplugs.

The kitchen was large and well equipped. The bedroom had a large locker for my stuff and was very clean. There was no full curtain for the bed but it did feel rather private. The staff were helpful in storing my luggage as I arrived early.

Hosts tended not to clean after themselves in common spaces but it’s not the property’s fault of course. The room was a bit dusty under the bed and the beds were very noisy (I slept in the lower bed).

The location is perfect! I was surprised I was able to book something there for such a competitive price! The staff cleans kitchens and bathrooms everyday I think. Lots of amenities, which was extremely convenient.

The shared bathrooms sometimes feels very crammed (especially in the morning) and could be cleaned more frequently. Paying almost 80 dollars to sleep in a bunk bed…

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very good but feels a bit sketchy at night.

In my dorm the heating was really really loud, the bed sheets are quite bad and the bathroom too small for all that amount of people... The tables in the kitchen area are too few.

The kitchen is great with plenty of space to cook. The common areas are nice and the space outside is really enjoyable.

I've read the reviews about the shower not having hot water and unfortunately I was also blessed by that 😅 The room was also quite cold.

The location is a bit further from the main action in New York, however as a very connected city it seems to be the BEST value for money. Seriously! I was a bit skeptical, but the place was organised, relatively clean, friendly staff, the room was alright, the people was quite polite (but that could be just luck). I would truly stay with them again.

It would be great if beds had curtains, also a shelf would be nice to have. Elevator was very slow and old, so I often had to use the stairs if I didn't want to wait (but it's not a tall building at all, so it wasn't a big deal). And I had issues getting really hot water in showers, it was always just warm-ish - but that might have been just me being dumb and not a shower issue, I eventually managed on the last day. Overall just small stuff that could be improved.

Nice hostel, clean, enough bathrooms (I never had to wait). Shower stalls were big and had enough room to put your things, both hooks and a bench. Hostel provides everyone with a towel. Location is great, nice neighbourhood, close to subway and Central Park. There was a water fountain available and a coffee shop downstairs for breakfasts (you had to pay for what you wanted to eat though). Every bed had two sockets and a light, lockers were spacious. Wifi worked well. Also the building is really pretty.

Beds weren't the most comfortable and were very squeaky, still was able to get a good sleep. It is a hostel so definitely bring ear plugs and sleep mask, people are coming in very late. Still, great accommodation especially for the money.

Great value for the money, with a great location just a few minutes from subway and Central Park. Stayed in the 12-person room, everything was clean including the shared bathrooms and showers. Friendly and helpful staff!

I didn’t see more activities to integrate the people and more recharge spots, nowadays is necessary.

The property is in one wonderful location, three blocks of the Central Park , one block to a subway and all staff is very polite e helpful

The place is huuuugeee. I had a room very far from the toilet and was not very comfortable walking in the freezing corridor in the night. Showers are crowded in the morning. And in the night the water is not hot enough. The kitchen is ok for cooking but also crowded at peak times. The mattress was not very comfortable, not enough blankets (the room was chilly in October!)

Good location close to subway 1, with many shops and restaurants around , and close to central park Friendly staff. But do not expect personal treatment, too many people are there and the staff changes every day. So it's more "impersonal" than other hotels . They have luggage storage for the day (5 USD) which is very convenient. And you can use toilets and common areas even after check out. Very helpful if you spend the last day in NY and then have to fly.
