Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe two elevators are extremely slow, especially at peak times (although we already knew that from previous reviews). Due to the high turnover, some of the dishes at breakfast were still wet or full of water stains, which was a bit unsightly, especially with the cutlery. Still, it was clean. These are just small things - the positive definitely outweighed the negatives, without a doubt!
Rooms: The hotel staff not only accommodated our request for a high-floor room but also pleasantly surprised us with a breathtaking view of the Empire State Building! The room was very clean and notably spacious for New York City, a key factor in our decision to book here over other similarly priced options. We had a room with a connecting door and could hear our next door neighbor talking on the phone, but it didn't bother us too much. Otherwise it was very quiet in the hotel. Location: The hotel is within walking distance of many small, lovely restaurants and local shops. Some tourist attractions (Summit One, Flatiron, Times Square) and a subway station are also within walking distance. Despite the central location, we were able to sleep very well because we didn't notice much noise from outside (after all, it's a big city!), and because the bed was very comfortable. F&B: Breakfast was included in the price, but it was very basic. There were options for vegetarians. If you're expecting a large breakfast buffet, you're wrong here - however it still gave us enough energy for the day. Highlight: Don’t forget to check out the roof top terrace - it’s free and offers an incredible view! Staff: Staff was friendly throughout our stay. We would like to give special thanks to the receptionist Sasha, who warmly welcomed us at check-in after our long journey, assisted us during our stay and helped us with the transfer to the airport on the day of departure. We wish her all the best and hope that she continues to enjoy her job and bring joy to many more guests! If we ever come back to NYC, this hotel will be our first choice.

SpainThe room is not very big specially if you travel with 3 or 4 people, there is not enough space to store all the luggages and your things but the views worth the experience.
The room was very clean and all furniture was new and you get complimentary wifi in the rooms. The views from the floor 29th were amazing and you can see the Empire from the room. The staff was very friendly and we didn't have any problems during our stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with a big fridge, microwave, dishwasher and a cooker and everything you need to prepare a light dinner after a busy day in the city. The breakfast is a bit basic but is included in the price and in New York that's a lot. The hotel has 2 metro stops close by and the hotel is very close to Herald Square (Macy's) so basically you can reach out easily all the parts of the city and attractions in 10-15 minutes by Metro and 30-40 min by walking.

BermudaSpeciality suites are great for NYC. You get kitchen, washer/dryer, enough space and good views if you get a high floor. Breakfast is free and what you would expect, quick and easy. Gym is small but functional and also great views. All the staff I have interacted with have been very helpful.

GermanyThis is not a complaint just a tip to further improvement. Some cheese and fresh tomato or cucumber for breakfast would have been nice...and for environmental reasons: real cups instead of disposable ones.
First if all: the location! Close to two subway lines, within walking distance to Broadway, Highline, Times Square and Empire State Building. We had the suite on the 30th floor with amazing views downtown. It was spotlessly clean, Beds were super comfy, facilities were great. It was nice to have a small kitchenette and we really appreciated the complimentary breakfast.

LithuaniaBreakfast is medium. We missed vegetables, sweets (especially croissants), scrambled eggs could be way better. And the stuff - some very rude, not helpful.
Room, cleanliness, comfort, bathroom, stuff, location - everything was very good. Big bonus rooftop terrace on the 32th floor, where you can see whole Chelsea city part, including Empire State Building at his best - especially evening when he change his lights to different each day. P.S. Elevator isn't that big problem as others mentioned in the reviews, but maybe we were lucky. Just breakfast time is busier, sometimes to wait 5 minutes, but rest of the time was very fast and no wait time.

United States of AmericaIt became hard to get on an elevator during peak breakfast/departure times. The room itself had some minor flaws that were quickly addressed by staff.
The breakfast was terrific and the staff in the breakfast room very attentive. Many breakfast options that changed a bit by day. The room was comfortable and well insulated to not hear noise from the neighboring rooms. We needed more pillows and they were quickly provided when we checked in.

United States of AmericaThere was one main issue. The room was too hot and dry for my liking. We figured out how to cook the room down, but would there be options in the future to include a humidifier?
