Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandIt was very hot and stuffy at night, we were in Garden studio downstairs. Could do with bed-side lockers.
Very comfortable bed, kitchenette, good shower, good location in West Village, not far from High Line

United States of AmericaWell, as a long time coffee drinker, the solution per room was reasonable, but..... Coffee, good coffee, is just hard to do. Nice try tho.
Breakfast? Quick trip, to see the Biennial & friends. Good location & great hospitality.

United States of AmericaThe architecture design of the stairs that leads to the Stone wall suite, they are narrow for anyone with bad knees. Despite the stairs. I was greeted to a wonderful two-bed apartment unit that is called Stone wall, and it's a fabulous apartment.
Awesome, literally everything that is needed to maintain an active, fun and exciting stay is right outside the front door of The Incentra Village Hotel. I am definitely a new fan of the Incentra Hotel. Location… Location… Location and surrounded with variety of food within walking distance. The Incentra Hotel's staffs are amazing and exhibited great customer service. I must return for a longer stay in the Stone wall and The Garden Room.

United KingdomSome of the furnishings were not in good repair, curtains hanging down. The sofa was fine but as a sofa bed it was uncomfortable. I prefer a hob for cooking, but there was only a microwave. Cleaning wasn't carried out fully every day.
The location was fantastic, the bus stop was right outside and subway close by. There were many shops for groceries and a wide range of produce. I had the Bishop Suite which was plenty big enough for me as a solo traveller. I had a guest one night who used the sofa bed which apparently was extremely uncomfortable and had seen better days. The apartment was very nice and homely, I felt very relaxed and safe there. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean enough, with adequate space for my belongings. I would definitely return, it's a great find.

United States of AmericaThe stairs to the room were steep. The staff carried our luggage for us when we checked in and that was very helpful. The promotional material is clear that the hotel is in an old building and not ADA compliant, but we were surprised by the steep steps leading to out “first floor” room. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it might be for others. The light over the entrance door was out for the week we were there. We used our phone flashlight to make it easier to unlock the door, but without a light, this would have been a problem.
The Incentra Village Hotel is close to transportation, restaurants, museums, parks, and shops. Our suite had a small kitchen so we could make tea, coffee and heat take-out food. We had a front-facing room and it was quiet. On the first night the weather was very cold and the staff provided a space heater to help warm the room. Staff tidied the room and refreshed the linens daily. Incentra Village Hotel is a good option if you like a place with some character and want more space than a typical hotel room.

United KingdomOne room was in the basement, I did not stay in this room however would not have wanted to. No windows, cluttered, really a storage room at best. One room was never serviced by housekeeping (however did say to my friend this was their fault as they did not raise this with housekeeping). My room was cleaned daily.
Excellent location in part of the city we haven't stayed before. Booked 3 rooms for 6 people. Quirky property, overall good with a few areas to improve.

United KingdomIt will benefit from a bit more attention to detail as a result of understandable Covid neglect. But charm and cozness count for a lot.. And now that we are all on the road again more attention will be given to small details-and the potentially lovely garden.
The hotel is made up of two 1840 townhouses in the unspoiled and upmarket West Village. It is a short walk to the Hudson River which has a very long and beautifully landscaped riverside walk/jogging/bicycle and dog walkers broad pathway and reconceived piers for sunning and looking at the broad and beautiful river. It is also a short walk to the Whitney Museum of American Art which itself has great views from its terraces; a fine cafe and an outstanding collection of American Art. The hotel is charming. The rooms are furniture in an eclectic style; many have working fireplaces. It is not not have a front desk as such although Vincent who manages the hotel is outstandingly gracious and helpful.
