Lift was broken for first 2 days of trip which was annoying to drag luggage up 15 floors. Little bit annoying that room isn’t cleaned daily not an issue just means that toiletries ran out

Location is great and room is a great size with fridge in room Felt very safe in the area walking around at all hours and from all directions

I thought the street was kind of dark the evening of my arrival plus I didn't see a hotel sign, the entrance was obscured by a black metal grill. The street looked like an alley because of the construction equipment on the street. Upon entering the room on the 4th floor, the lights didn't work. It turns out the motion sensor light switch was damaged. The bed was kind of lumpy and worn out. The room was expensive in an expensive city.

The location was good in terms of distance from Amtrak. I tried to walk the 6 blocks but my phone Google maps kept showing me in a different location, otherwise it was an easy walk back to Amtrak the following morning. The room was adequate and the bathroom was in very good shape, bright and clean.

Room was damp. Several of the staff not being helpful to make a room change or giving false information to get rid of us. Day 3: Ants everywhere - even in the bed sheets and in our clothes. They offered us a 100$ refund for the 3 horrible days we already went through and then finally let us change the room so we could spend the remaining 5 days in another dirty room but in peace at least. Guess we were very unlucky. This was such a bad experience.

The hotel's location in New York was undoubtedly convenient, allowing easy access to key attractions. However, our stay was marred by several issues. The room, although cozy, was incredibly small, and the bathroom suffered from a persistent leak whenever we showered. Additionally, I was disappointed to discover that there was a charge of $10 per bag to store luggage at the reception after checkout, which seemed excessive. The air conditioning unit in the room was noisy, disrupting our sleep at times. On a positive note, despite the room's size, the bed was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Overall, while the hotel's location is a definite plus, the small room size, bathroom issues, luggage storage fee, and noisy air conditioning detracted from the overall experience.

Such a shame that there was so much potential but it had not been optimised. It was unloved, dated and in some cases unsafe I e electric sockets not secure. For some strange reason there was a microwave but no kettle. Safe inoperable.

No smoking policy should affect Marijuana as well. The whole hotel stunk of it and we had 4 kids with us. Difficult to get bags down as the lift didn't fit much and there were stairs. Elevator slow as hell. Our shower flooded the bathroom and the handle fell off the shower.

The entrance doesn't look like a hotel, with bars and garbage bins outside, just that part of the street is dark.

The Hotel has great location, the entrance does not do the hotel justice, because it is full of things outside, but going down the stairs and entering the hotel everything is different.

It's not a great hotel on any objective scale, but you get more than what you pay for in an NYC context. Could improve on bathroom cleanliness (it was cleaned, but probably how I used to clean stuff when I was a teenager), wifi signal strength, and lighting.

Good value for money for single travellers. Great location, close to downtown, subway station and the awesomeness of NYC.

There was a lot of mold in the room I was in. The tv didn’t work. The safe had the battery/keypad missing. The elevator broke and we were on 13/14 floor. The plugs wouldn’t hold a plug in. No ice but did have buckets. The faucet shot water all over the bathroom. The water did get extremely hot in the faucet but not the shower. The general look was not clean and fresh. The nice front desk person did say they were renovating but not sure what that meant.

    Great location and friendly staff.

The standards of this hotel are so questionable. I’m normally the type of person who doesn’t need anything fancy as I normally just like somewhere to “rest my head” and don’t really care. However this hotel felt like it crossed a line. It was rusty, dirty and falling apart. The room didn’t have a hairdryer as described and when I went to reception to politely ask for a spare I was laughed at told I would have to wait until later because ‘the hotel is rubbish’ and only had one spare, ‘but complain after your stay if you’re unhappy’. It was noisy and cold and windy and the heater was so dirty we were scared to use it. Certain lights in the room are also automatic and can’t be switched off. So if you move your foot in the night, the light comes on - so definitely wear an eye mask. I really wouldn’t recommend this place, it’s stuck in the 1970s.

It was cheap and conveniently close to central NYC, the high line and Chelsea etc. There was one guy on reception who was so sweet and helpful.

Microwave was broken. Really drafty. Had to cover the bottom of door. Even with heat on it was freezing. Camera right outside the door literally. Found a broken knife under the bed. The cold and hot water are opposite of what it reads. Ice machine was broken and we had an ice bucket and couldn’t use it. Some outlets did not work also. And ceilings and walls are thing. When they vacuum it sounds like a really loud ringing in your ear.

The room is small and no walk in showers. Does not give sex appeal.

I like that it is in the heart of Manhattan for parties and fun but still a little walk from avenue to avenue. The workers are very friendly and nice. Willing to help with any concerns
