Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ColombiaThe bathroom door got stuck in the dorm at the night. However the staff member working the shift that night was extremely helpful in trying to open it and it was resolved by the morning 😊 I didn’t catch his name but he was great. It’s a shame the pods don’t lock as the lockers are too small to store backpacks.
Staff friendly and pod comfy and quiet.

IsraelThey had breakfast until "they're run out of ingredients", so they don't bring in enough for the amount of people staying over for some reason, even though they know exactly how many people are staying. Also I got a towel with makeup stains on it. The room was on the 5th floor without an elevator. The rooms have too many pods for 1 bathroom. The price is low for NYC prices but expensive for what you get.
The pods were very nice and comfortable, it was comfortable and clean with easy access to the metro. The staff was nice and helpful

Brazil"This is my second visit. The first one was great, I stayed on the second floor, bathroom in the same hallway, and the capsule was super modern, had a desk and chair. This time, I paid more, stayed on the fifth floor, the air conditioning didn't work, there was no desk and chair, and the capsule was old and lacked amenities. I don't understand, I paid more for a worse experience."

IrelandThe temperature, one day it was extremely cold and the next day extremely hot in the room.
The fact that room was only shared by 1 other person, the beds/capsules were quite spacious and very friendly staff. The location was perfect and I felt very secured. Showers were quite clean as well.

Francestaff should indicate more the facilities and how it works, like the fact that there is an ATM machine or like how to go through a real labyrinth to find the kitchen… but really for nyc it’s such a good place to stay
You’re like 2 seconds from central park so if the sun shows up in the morning while you’re there please grab your breakfast from the kitchen and go eat it in central park! Did this every morning and it was magical!

Poland- Blankets - you usually get just thin blanket and a bed sheet to match it. Can get cold, however I was fine. Not sure if you are cold though. Probably would have to go and ask the reception - No elevator - if you travel with a heavy bag, be prepared to carry it up the stairs to the 2-4 floor - Small lockers - lockers are best for document and other small things. Stuffing it with school bag might work but anything other than that won't fit. Buy a lock or bring one with you. Additionally, the room doesn't have that much space, so your case will be against the wall closed. - No personnel 24/7 - out of 3 nights, twice i arrived just after midnight. There was nobody at the reception. Had to rely on others to open the door for me
- Pods - pods with rolling doors allows for more privacy than bunk bends with curtains. they allow for full darkness which helps you sleep better after whole day of sightseeing. Additionally in the pod there is: a light and fan (both regulated, so you can dim them/adjust speed), mirror, 2 usb ports and other 2 regulators which I didn't explore. The sliding door in the pods don't lock (or at least I couldn't). Btw room has its own light with also has adjustable brightness. - Bathroom - you have a small bathroom in room for 6, so it should be easier to keep it tidy but you also have the option of a common bathroom in the corridor. A towel is prepared on your bed. - Location - right next to Central Park. Nice buildings around. Subway 2 blocks away (5min walk) - People - more mature. Small groups of 5 but respectful. Others travelled in 1-3s. They were 27+ - Rooftop - you can go on a rooftop but it's for the building's square. No amazing views but can go for a smoke if you do and need one. There is no drinking/smoking on hotel premises. - Bagel morning - off you wake up early enough you might catch a morning bagel with tea/coffee, some peanut butter, milk and cereal as a good start of the day. Yes, it's free.

South KoreaThere are few things that I didn't like. The location was a little bit uncomfortable to visit from LGA airport. Most of the subway routes shown in Google map required a transfer in the middle of Harlem.
I think the room was excellent value for its price. The place was clean and the staffs were really nice. The bed was comfy and I liked that the door could be locked (so that only the people from the same room can enter).

GuatemalaDon't know if it was the a system error or human error, but my booking got messed up and I end up moving from pod to pod 3 times. Also, there are 2 kinds of pods and different types if rooms, so is hard to know what kind of pod you are booking. Pods are not that bad but it needs maintenance and they are not working at 100% percent, you can't lock the pod's sliding door, and some rooms has just a too tiny locker area, you can use the storage room but it will be better to be able to leave your stuff at a locked pod. Some rooms have bigger lockers, other really small, some other rooms has a table and a chair, others don't so it's hard to know what experience you are getting.
The location is near one of the metro train lines so it generally is easy to get in and out from it.

GermanyEvery two nights the heating in the whole hostel was so extremly hot and there was nothing you can do about it. You can‘t open a window, can‘t turn on a fan or just turn off the heating in your room. There was also no resupply of towels.
The location is really great. You literally go out the front door and the entrance to central park. A Subway Station is also nearby. There is free water, private shower cabins and enough privacy at night because of the „capsule concept“.
