It was pretty dirty and we never had maid service during our stay. The bunk beds weren’t steady and looked/ sounded unsafe.

Nice that they offered rooms with 3 twin beds. The woman working at the front desk was very nice and allowed us to check-in early.

Fridge barely worked, would’ve liked to have a way to heat food up too. Lobby was a bit dirty but the room itself was clean. DONT TRUST THE STAFF, double check everything and get names!

The room was perfect for 2 people. A little small but it worked well for one night! Had complimentary early check in and luggage storage while we were out in the city before and after check in/out

The room didn't have a way to refresh its air, except turning on the air-conditioning (which is ok if you switch to the fan mode) or opening the window.

Ideal location downtown, clean rooms and very nice personnel.

They used my credit card to book an extra room and when I checked in, I never was informed! Tricky hotel and booking.com is not helping on this issue

Very shabby and rundown hotel dirty dated rooms. Unhelpful rude staff. No natural light worn bedding and towels. Grubby mouldy bathroom/ shower

Paid extremely expensive last minute for location only, 240 usd/night. Unfortunately the key card wouldn’t function twice, so I had to get a replacement, twice. Rooms are tiny. Water takes a lot to heat up, so good luck taking a hot shower.

Hotel staff were quite friendly and prompt to help, and of course the location.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. A lot of people left reviews stated the rooms were small. I thought the room was fine. It is NYC after all.

I loved the location. It was close to everything. It was clean and smelled nice. I will definitely be staying there again.

The cockroaches in our room were a bit much. One of them would run after my daughter and she was very unhappy about this. What might have been worse was the twin mattress that I was sleeping on had a small metal bar running right through the middle of my back. It was the worst mattress I think I've ever slept on. Very poor quality.

Bit dated, very small, but still very good at what it does.

Location was fantastic, staff were super friendly. Did exactly what I needed it to do. If you need somewhere to put your head down and have a shower then this is it. Go and spend the rest of your time out in the city! That's why you're there.

The Doxie Hotel is the best hotel I have stayed at! The staff was lovely & the room was gorgeous. Extremely clean & updated. I was in town to see Madonna at Madison Square Garden & it was a 5 minute walk away. I also took Amtrak & the station is right across the street from MSG, so it was all in walking distance! I will definitely stay here again. Thank You!

Entrance from the road was hard to find initially and hallway was dirty.

The room was fantastically larger than expected. It was laid out very nicely, decor was fun and comfort was great. It was located exactly near places we needed to access.

Poor quality hotel. Cheap and dirty. Felt like a smokers hostel. Noise carried throughout building. Did not feel like a hotel in any aspects. Felt like a hostel.

Great location. Walking distance to work and major modes of transportation as well as points of interest.

Rooms are tiny. The heat was unbearable one day, we couldn’t sleep and the aircon didn’t work. The bunk bed had a tiny metal ladder to climb up that hurts your feet
