Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ArgentinaThe smell of the neighborhood is bad but it's nyc, this could happen everywhere. The rest of the hotel is great
Great example of value for money. It is well located in Chinatown, near the subway station. Nice room with bathroom, clean and quite despite the location.

United Arab EmiratesHonestly not a thing.
Loved the location, was nervous when we first got there that the subway would be loud but could hardly hear it in the room. Was really centrally located to places we wanted to go, and the subway was close if we needed to go farther.

United States of AmericaThe hotel has central air/heating, which means you can't control the temperature in your room.
The hotel staff were friendly at check-in. The room was small, but adequate for 2 people. The bed was comfortable and high enough to store our luggage underneath it. The bathroom was modern and plenty large. Best of all, the room was surprisingly quiet, despite the bridge across the street. We slept well. The neighborhood has lots of excellent affordable restaurants and a wonderful ambience. We'd certainly stay there again.

United KingdomThe train is near so you can slightly hear it every so often.
We had the best welcome I've probably ever had in a hotel. We were given very clear instructions on checkout, room cleaning, and a great list of local restaurants (we tried a few of them and they were great and we would never found them by ourselves). We stored our bags before leaving (a very generous 12:00 p.m. check out but our flight wasn't until the evening) and upon pickup were asked if we wanted to use the facilities. The bed was one of the most comfortable in a hotel I have slept in. I slept so well for the three nights we were there. Good shower and clean room. Close to the subway, the Brooklyn bridge and in Chinatown. It was one of the only options which had twin beds for a reasonable price in New York city. Would definitely stay here again.

ItalyThe position is good to go around the city but, as many areas in NYC, after midnight it didn't seem so safe. The room is very small and, unfortunately, the heating and air conditioning are centralized. At the first days with sun, the air conditioning was too high and it was almost impossible not to have severe headache. I also would add some hangers in the bathroom.
The hotel is located in lower Chinatown. The staff is very kind and available to all requests. They allow to keep the luggage after the check out and they are always nice and smiling. The room was clean and silent and the bed comfortable. The bathroom very wide and equipped with towels, shampoo, shower gel and all the needed things. Ideal for max 2 or 3 nights.

FinlandThe temperature wasn't controllable. Our room got too hot in the evening. Room was small as expected but still there were no room for our stuff and we were travelling only with carry on bags and no large suitcases.
Room was one of the cleanest I have ever been in. Staff was very polite and nice.

United KingdomThe location of the hotel means there is a rumble from the nearby subway at times. It didn't disturb our sleep and the windows are well glazed to reduce the noise as much as possible. The rumble does cease for a while at night. I only mention this in case it might disturb others who want an entirely quiet room albeit in Manhattan this is a bit unlikely!
The staff at reception always welcomed us with a smile and went to every effort to ensure we had a good stay. The information on eateries in the area was great. We reported two issues during our stay and these were dealt with completely and quickly. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated that the room would be small but the size was perfectly useable even with two of us and a medium and a small suitcase with us. I liked the option to have the room serviced each day or not. There are plenty of subway and bus stops near the hotel so we had no difficulty travelling around Manhattan and Brooklyn from this location - indeed you can walk across the Manhattan bridge near by which was a fun thing to do one day. We liked the availability of ice in the basement. Bag store on our final day was efficient and incredibly helpful.

United KingdomThe only issue during our stay had to do with the poor sound insulation between rooms. We were sorry to be woken up by our neighbours at 2am when they got back from their night out and woken up by their loud music in the morning.
Hotel Mimosa is a great place to stay because of its excellent location in the Lower East Side. You are near fabulous food and good fun. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable despite the smallness of the room.

SwitzerlandThe ventilation system in the room went off once every hour for approx. 15 minutes and was really loud. We didn't find anything to turn it off, then again we never asked the reception so not really complaining :)
Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Room was on the smaller side but very clean and cozy. Even though located right next to the train the windows were extremely soundproofed, so there was no disturbance.

the room was nice, cozy, very clean and quiet, nice bathroom with a hair dryer and all cosmetics you need, staff was really nice and helpful, I received lists of nearby restaurants they recommend for breakfast, dinner or late dining etc. that saved me a lot of time on research, location is good, very close to the East Broadway station.
