Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWebsite is misleading regarding amenities. There is no on site parking and parking information provided was incorrect. It ended up costing us $150/day to park ($450). The hotel did give us a $120 credit, but the total parking cost should have been $150 total based on the information provided.

United KingdomThe lighting was quite dim.
The staff were lovely and the room was bigger than expected for the location. The subway was close and it was also a great location to walk from to explore: close to chinatown and to Brooklyn bridge. As two friends travelling we also appreciated having a bathroom with a proper door and blinds to close to make it private - surprisingly hard to find!

United KingdomMany facilities weren’t open and the coffee isn’t great in the cafe. The windows were really dirty so you couldn’t really see through them at the views of NY.
Very Clean. It’s probably fabulous in the summer months when the pool is open.

AustraliaWe had breakfast included in our room which was a voucher at the on site cafe. The food itself wasn’t too bad however we were quite disappointed with the service from one staff member in particular. Several days we sat in a near empty restaurant and waited over 10 minutes to have our order taken. One of these days there was no one there and I had to go and ask a staff member to please take our order. We also waited far too long for the coffees and breakfast once ordered. We would stay at ModernHaus again however wouldn’t opt for the added breakfast.
The room, location and view were lovely! Front desk staff were super helpful and welcoming. Overall we enjoyed our stay, thank you so much!

United States of AmericaYou can hear more outside of the room door than I expected. Other than that - everything was excellent. No complaints
It was a birthday stay and they took excellent care of me. Walked into a bottle of wine and a card waiting for me upon entry. My room was on the 15th floor, so stunning views. Was able to text with Caitlin at the front desk, who text me when my room was ready and was avail for any questions. Room service did a great job with my breakfast. Jimmy's - you can't beat the view and was a nice vibe when I went. Enjoyed Twenty Three Grand bar as well. Just overall a fantastic stay. Location ini Soho was perfect

SwitzerlandThe common facilities are not really inviting for hotel guests, as the bars and the restaurant are very often hosting some external private events. One feels „second class” as a guest, witnessing (hearing, smelling, etc) all the parties and not being able to use the facilities one pays for. Also the fitness area is quite basic.
Great esthetics. Nicely done - it is a Modern House at its best, and the excellent contemporary art collection heightens the pleasure of well designed environment. The guest room is very comfortable and the location just genius. Everything just around the corner. Casual, No nonsense attitude of staff is nice - some more voluntary information wouldnt hurt though.

United States of AmericaMy first room, a King Deluxe on the 8th floor, was on the whole comforatble and fine, but it was difficult to obtain anything other than scalding water out of the bathroom sink without maneuvering the handle, which I mastered on my own. On the third evening an industrial-type odor emerged in the room and began to affect my nose and throat. Though the staff could not detect it, they quickly gave me another room, even though they were fully booked. It was a bit smaller, which didn't bother me at all, and it was on the highest floor, 17, with a much more expansive view. Maintenance also quickly fixed the broken TV in this room.
All staff, both front desk and maintenance, are excellent, responsive and friendly, with special thanks to Robinson, Kristie, Gisella and Kenny. For me, the location is wonderful, as SoHo is far quieter than midtown, and the main subways I needed to get uptown are within a block or two. For someone unfamiliar with NYC, this may not be the case. No interior noise disturbed me during the stay—I couldn't even hear a police siren. As an avid art appreciator, having high-level art on the first two floors by George Condo, Hans Hartung, Calder and others made a big difference too. And the views of the city are superb. I did not eat or drink at the hotel, so no feedback there. But the deli on the corner supplied me with freshly made juices and great wraps and flatbreads for an inexpensive breakfast each of the four days of my stay. The problems I experienced were all handled competently and quickly, but they are worth listing below because there are some improvements that would be of great benefit to both guests and the hotel's standing. I was offered a modest discount for these inconveniences, which was much appreciated, as this beautifully architected hotel is not the cheapest option in Manhattan. Thanks to Robinson in maintenance, who was sweet as pie.
