Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The property is located around a mile from the centre of Memphis and there was no public transport easily available.

Not knowing the hidden extras - the extra $40 cleaning fee. This should have been included in the initial price showing on Bookimg.com
Everything. Fantastic place. Thought of everything. Even had a pdf with how to use certain electricals. Location was good, about 20 min walk from downtown but, being British we like to walk and I was advised NOT to do that (not that I listened)

The pull out bed isn’t necessarily amazing. A bit small and rickety but we still slept fairly well.

Too many codes - difficult to sort through them. Could hear the person above us walking around a lot of the night.

Lovely apartment on a lovely street, cool historical houses around the area. Secure parking. Comfy bed and nice, well equipped kitchen. Just like you see in the pictures. Uber to downtown is about $8 + tip or a 25-30min walk but the streets are really empty.. 15min drive to Graceland.

It's pretty much AirBNB rules of cleaning up after yourself and I believe a cleaning fee was included in the price. From what I could tell not really in a "happening" and pretty old neighborhood. It's fairly quiet but you might occasionally hear an ambulance or police car.
Staff texted details and answered calls and questions promptly! You can tell they went out their way to make what is essentially a studio apartment very comfortable. They include a white noise machine, earplugs, some water bottles, snacks, and a kitchen stocked with coffee, and the bathroom has anything you could need. Very comfy bed. Wish I could enjoy it longer.

The parking but we were told about it prior so we expected it. We were unable to hook up any devices to the TV but that minor inconvenience.

The only thing I did not like was the emergency vehicles sirens which was no fault of the Moose. The location is quite close to, I think, three hospitals so sirens are only to be expected. Other than that it was quiet.
The Moose did not have a restaurant. There is as a coffee maker & coffee provided which was what I wanted. There was tea provided as well as a few snacks. The bed was quite comfortable. The host was most accommodating to allow me to come in before the usual check-in time.

Parking was a bit tight which was expected when booking after some reviews were read. It was manageable but make sure your mindful if visiting.
The room was comfortable and all needs were met. Was a charming and pleasant stay after a long day of driving. The room made it quite easy to be able to relax and unwind.

A little tricky at first to understand there was an after 5 gate code and a room door code, but then it all worked great. A little farther to walk to downtown than we had originally realized.
Beautiful, super clean, quiet, parked right in front of our unit. Sunshine Memphis breakfast spot just a few minutes walk
