Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe had one of the uber small rooms. No room on either side of the bed. No chair, no desk, weird location to plug in and charge devices. Some may like that type of room. We didn't. It was priced about the same as a king room two blocks away. We moved.
Friendly people. Clean. Great location. Short walk to the theater district.

United States of AmericaThe first night was a quiet one, but the walls are a bit thin so I heard some music being played the second night there was alot of loud laughing and talking coming from the room beside us so I couldn't really get rest that night :(
The bed was very comfortable and I got a good night's sleep for once in a hotel room. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great, i loved the quirky atmosphere of the room. The staff were really helpful in storing bags before checking in as well as telling us instructions on where to head to.

United States of AmericaOn several occasions, it was very difficult to get an elevator. At one point, after waiting 10 minutes or more, I walked down 12 flights rather than wait any longer. The daily "destination fee" ($30) is annoying. I don't feel the amenities offered are worth the price, at least for me.
The location is convenient, the staff are helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

United States of AmericaOf course its NYC its loud, but this hotel is especially loud because of the bar. You hear pulsing music most of the night. I was on the 14 floor and still heard it. This is a great budget hotel that doesn't make you feel like you're staying on a budget, but rather a hip trendy place.
Great location. Trendy with nice shared spaced to hang out at the hotel - which offset the bare bones minimalist rooms. If you're looking to socialize this hotel offers that vibe. Their bar/cafe has complementary coffee everyday and there are microwaves to warm up any food. Hotel staff super nice and accommodating, able to have a mini fridge delivered to my room. They have a real gym with multiple cardio machines and free weights.

United States of AmericaNo chair so nowhere to sit except the bed and the toilet. However a folding chair was provided after I requested it Since the entrance is not at the Seventh Avenue but around the corner my driver and I had a difficult time finding you and it was after midnight when I finally got to the room. You should advise the actual street for arrival/check in 🙄
Good location and good value once I figured out how to do everything (I am not very high tech).

AustraliaThe double rooms are very small - the queen upgrade on our return was much better. The breakfast allowance does not allow for sufficient purchasing power for two people. New York in general is just expensive, especially for Australians.
Fantastic staff, great atmosphere, central location. Staff were very responsive to our feedback. We stayed there at the start of the trip and decided to return as we liked it so much.

United KingdomA family room for four was simply too small - two double beds wedged into a normal room, no room for our luggage, wee were falling over each other n the rare occasions we were all in the room together. Although we had four in the room, we only got two sets of towels, and each time we requested more we had to do so a few times as they kept being forgotten.
Nice relaxed atmosphere, stylish lobby and bar area. Staff on the front desk were very helpful.

United KingdomMore instagram than functional With luggage (two people) and no wardrobe/shelving, our 3-night stay was living out of suitcases lying on the floor and tripping us when walking to bed/bathroom Noise of club next door is a bit heavy - I need to concede it’s a mega city and that’s just the territory but I’ve been to other places and soundproofing is better
Certainly a quirky room, with a cracking shower and trendy kit/furniture

GermanyThe breakfast selection is very limited and expensive. The queue to order at the Café is very long. The room we booked was very small with no space to open two suitcases and the bathroom sink did not have any space to put our contacts.
The location is perfect to get to almost any sight in Manhattan. The design of the hotel is very hip.
