Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room is carpeted which is not great, but it seemed clean. The room was very small, but it is ok if you are traveling for fun, it wouldn't be nice to work at the room.
Location is great! Bed was small, but confortable Staff was very nice, and answered all our questions, also made it easy to make a late check-out.

The room was tiny, not something unexpected as the size was already mentioned online but fitting and daily using two suitcases proved to be quite challenging. Nevertheless, we managed. Overall though, the room is overpriced, you clearly pay extra for location.

The upper bunkbed didn't had a switch. We could ear some noise from outside,

We had room with bunk beds each with its own tv and each with a remote however the remotes work for both tvs so if one wanted to change tv channels it changed it for both. No way to listen to tv using headphones meaning you could each tv. Other than that good location. Very clean.

N/A - the only request we had was a sign to tell the housekeeper that we didn’t need a room cleaning.
The location is great for Broadway, Time Square and has a subway station near by. The staff is friendly and services include luggage check and car services to the Airport. Majority of the time, the car service was cheaper than Uber/Lyft.

The room was extremely small, it was cold and when I asked for a blanket the young lady said there were none but the guy said they would bring two up, that never happened. If you are walking to and from time square be prepared to walk through the stench of urine I am not sure what magician took the photos but the room was so small that there was no where to get dressed properly and the desk chair was against the ladder for the bunk bed.

I wish that the pods could find a place for a small mini fridge. It would make an enormous difference for travelers.
Great location, excellent staff. Despite vibrant location, rooms are quite soundproof.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like. If you had a lot of clothes storage would be an issue but I travel light
The hotel was easy to find, in a great location on the famous 42nd street, It’s walking distance from either grand central or Penn station. The hotel smelt nice and clean when you walk through the door. Quick check in. Needing your keycard to use the lifts made it feel secure. Rooms are small but if you travel light it’s not a problem. Rooms are clean with good facilities even has a safe. Rooms serviced daily if you want. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, we had a nice view too

The heavy room doors slam shut really hard & I was woken up a few times by neighbours' doors. Very startling! The chair & garbage can kept clanging together til I moved the latter. The little complimentary soap seemed impossible to open without a blade in the sleep deprived state I arrived in (though I eventually got it open). The new fangled toilet seemed to run for a long time after use. The tv was not completely setup. Somehow, there was only one channel available. I did it myself, going through various menus, but even then it was very difficult to change channels. Maybe it was more the remote than the tv, at that point. Not sure. (I consider all of these trivial issues except the noise from the doors.)
The staff was great, including over the phone before I even got there. I really liked how efficient it was. It looks small at first, but everything you need truly is right there. Made for a practical & cozy experience, which suited me.

Terrace was out of order and that was a pity - it looked great and I wish we could have used that.
Very convenient location. Rooms are exactly as presented - small, but clean, with many power sockets, hairdryer etc. Would definatley stay here again!

I was unable to control the temp on the room and water flooded over the shower despite efforts to avoid it.

The restaurant in the hotel wasn't serving food. This was disappointing because it was pouring rain and I was already soaked and having to go back out to get food wasn't ideal.
The location was perfect I was in the city to see some Broadway and off Broadway shows. The staff was great. There was a couple fighting loudly in the room next to mine and the staff where able to handle it promptly.

The staff from reception are not very friendly. The carpet in the room could have been cleaner / no sleepers available.
The hotel is located very close to Time Square. You can find plenty of restaurants in the nearby. The room was not very big but if you don’t plan spending too much time indoor and it’s just for sleeping is sufficient.
