Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Person in adjacent room was playing loud music at 11PM in the night. Very disturbing. Please enforce some restrictions on this

The room was really not clean - no way to lock the top part on the door so I pushed a chaier up against the door. Did not feel safe there - would not stay again.
didnt eat breakfast there. I didnt like much - think the hotel needs revamping.

A lot of work still needs to be done they have permanent residence that don’t pick up after their own dogs kind of stinky in the pool needs cleaned

It was dirty. Shower had black mold Stained towels and bed sheets. Not enough pillows for a King size bed. The pillows were not fluffy. They were uncomfortable and thin as if they hardly had any filling.

There were bugs everywhere and cockroaches in the bathroom. Generally the cleanness of the was one of the worst I ever faced

There was baby cockroaches running around in the bathroom I killed over 5 of them. When I arrived the lady that checked me in was so rude asking me questions as if I was lying about why I wanted to stay and then told me that my daughter who I was coming to visit couldn't be on the property because she was local. She was so rude I walked out of the office an got in my car and cried. She didn't even tell me my room # I had to ask her. It was a very stressful way to end the 6 hour drive I took to get there!!!
I liked the pool. The bed was soft. There was a good lock on the door. The location was close to were I was visiting my daughter at and I got to park right in front of my room

Our room was so hot!!!! It was 107 in Redding that day and our air conditioner was off and we couldn’t sleep until about 4am.
It wasn’t a dumb not to many crazies there lol, nice rooms lower than the others around.

pretty dumpy and not much immediately nearby for restaurants or bars. have to drive a couple miles. this was place to sleep only and you get what you pay for.

Guests next door were having a party. There were 5-6 people chatting loudly into late night. They dragged furniture around. Management seemed not concerned. Finally someone banged on the wall/ceiling loud enough that these people piped down.
Room is clean. Bed is comfy.

I was awakened by loud noise of someone in the room next to mine slamming something down on the floor repeatedly. It was around 10 p.m. and being so tired from driving, I was asleep on the bed until I was rudely awakened. There is a door between mine room and the room adjacent to mine. I was afraid that this person who was making the loud noise, might try to open the door joining our rooms. I thought that he might has been drunk, upset about something, or on something.
Rooms were available, especially when I needed to change rooms.

The room was questionably clean. It wasn’t super clean but not super ghetto. The walls are thinnnn we could here people next to us. They don’t have a pizza place in the parking lot anymore nor do they serve breakfast, sad.
super nice staff! we checked in around 8pm and the guy at the front desk was super nice. Super easy to find since we are from out of state it was nice for a one night stay.

There was no staff at the hotel to check us in and when we cakles the number on the door "In case of an emergency" the guy told us he would have to cancel our reservation because his staff had gone home. We stayed next door at the Travelodge which was 100% between in every way!

They charged us for our service animal who is in training. They charged us $40 for a dog and on their website it says $20
