Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ArgentinaPerhaps a little more noise isolation in the room, but if it meant less music in the evenings I would prefer the somewhat noisy room. :)
Atmosphere, friendliness, music.

SpainLoved it all.
We loved the vibe at the Roxy! The location was perfect to access the awesome. I was worried that the live Jazz in the lobby would be loud but they install white noise machines so it is not an issue at all!

United KingdomBar area was a bit of an odd set up. Diners and drinkers mixed up. Maybe a designated dining area away from the live music. Open bar to create more atmosphere. Food menu was heavy

GreeceThe fact that we had to pay 35$ cover / person in Django despite the fact that this was free for hotel guests a year ago. Noisy air conditioning.
Location is top. Design and vibe is super. Django is very good. I stayed more than 5 times now. The atmosphere, the idea of there is always something happening is great.

United KingdomOverall everything was good / staff could have been a little more enthusiastic - explaining a little more about the Roxy hotel - the bar / the cinema and jazz bar would have been helpful to have known more
The property was in a great location for exploring TriBeCa / soho areas. Nice spacious bar and the room was exactly as described.

United KingdomVery poor room sound proofing. Could hear loud traffic noise (even though on high floor), daily nightly noise from Live Music down below. Did not sleep well at all. Also the bed contained something very allergic to me. Not sure if it is the detergent they use or what. Ended up having skin allergic rash every night. Restaurant prices very expensive for the portion, even though the food was good.
Gorgeous decor. Great live Jazz music daily. Wonderful bar. Helpful, polite staff, good location - easily accessible to all points in city

United KingdomAll the clutter on the cabinets trying to sell you. Just got in the way and prices were ridiculous. 7 dollars for a snickers being one of them. Also the band were extremely loud and on until late. The design of the hotel didn't matter where you were I'd imagine you would still hear it loud
The location from Newark was excellent. Subway just 1 street away. Walkable to downtown, the Hudson. Served a nice breakfast and not to pricey Nice lounge area. Good size room even for the basic room

United States of AmericaAs it was the Christmas holiday weekend, the hotel restaurant seemed a bit understaffed and we ended up walking out of brunch as the hostess just could not handle the crowds properly. After waiting to be seated, we were given brunch menus. Then a few minutes later, those were practically ripped out of our hands and replaced with lunch menus. After more waiting and not being greeted, poured water, or even acknowledged by any service staff, we walked out. Unfortunate, but probably the trend with many hospitality industries that are understaffed and staff is overworked.
Location of hotel is SUPER convenient for subway lines and walking to many neighborhoods, including the one it's located in, Tribeca. Rooms are bigger than many at the same price point. There are is live music in the lobby which can filter up through the atrium to most rooms, but the built-in white noise machines in the room do an excellent job of masking the music wafting through the property.
