Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThey advertised 2 free big bus passes per room. When you inquiry about it at check in they tell you to go to the concierge counter. The concierge then tells you they no longer do that. They also add a $35 amenities fee daily to your room, even if you don’t buy anything. That credit can only be used for food, not their store. When you go to the restaurant in the am (Starbucks) the line is 30-45 mins long. The restaurant at night has waitstaff that gets upset if you need to split your check into two different rooms.
It was in a great location

United Arab EmiratesNo in-room amenities. No kettle. No fridge/mini bar. No bath robes or bathroom slippers. They don't even give you water. And you have to remind them on most days to restock the bath with shampoo and shower gel. Queues at Starbucks (where you'd end up "trying" to spend the $30 per day refund that the hotel charges as a daily destination fee) are too long and the food too expensive to waste your precious time. We 'enjoyed' the use-it-or-lose-it daily credit on two of the six nights we spent at the hotel.
The location is awesome. It doesn’t get any more happening than 7th Avenue Times Square, and it helps that the Sheraton NY Times Square is located half a block from a subway station. Several tourist attractions including Broadway shows, Central Park, Times Square and the Empire State Building are within walking distance from the hotel.

Irelandno kettle, no water in rooms bottled water would have been great. queue for breakfast was unacceptable as we had a busy schedule to see all the sights and a queue of 1.5hours was just crazy.
beds were so comfortable if a little small but fine. location was the winner really. Room was fine we were a family of four so it was going to be a little tight and i have been in other hotel which were a lot more spacious but really location was the bonus. breakfast was a disaster the queueing was crazy so we didnt bother after day three.

United States of AmericaLots of extra charges. Stayed here several times over the years. Alwsys able to my get a room even before check in. Now they don’t give room even if there is one available unless you pay extra 50 dollars. When came back to check in after 4. There was a line forming from desk to the revolving door at entrance. When I spoke with manager asking if he could expedite the process for us since we had checked in earlier and only needed room assignment he said “there was nothing he could do”. Not a great customer service approach

United States of AmericaThere is a $30 a day fee that isn’t openly disclosed when booking. While it’s clear that this fee is imposed by the city since the hotel takes the fees, it should be upfront about them. Lines are ridiculously long for everything. The beds are really uncomfortable and there are visible repairs that need to be made. Peeling wallpaper, holes in the bench by the elevators and outdated fixtures are par for the course. There is no room service or vending areas for snacks. The only places to eat have long wait times and are expensive.
The location is great. The staff were kind and helpful.

GermanyIt was hard to get the elevator to 18 floor. I had to wait for minutes. And waiters on the breakfast 🥞🍳 were kind of annoying. They asked about my room number, if I bought the breakfast.
The location is very close to the Times Square and central Park 🏞️.

United States of AmericaIt’s $100 for an early check in . Upon arrival at the normal check in time of 3pm the line was spread down the lobby . I waited an hour to check in . There was only one gentlemen checking people in the regular line and other works walking around behind the desk that looked as if maybe they could have opened up another line or two . This was a Saturday I would expect it’s normally a busy day and there would be more help . Also … I asked if I could be on the same floor as my friends room and I was charged $35 as an “upgrade” charge to be on that floor however I had the same double bed standard room that I paid for with a view of an under construction office building.
Rooms were clean and comfy . Good location .

United States of AmericaThe elevator system. It was terribly backed up. It was jam packed with guests and the lines to get in were long and the wait for the elevators was long. We waited for for then 15 minutes on multiple occasions. We took the stairs to avoid it but 12 flights is exhausting. The hotel said Hop on Hop off bus was not available for us, so a bike rental was given in place if it. The bike rental was only for two people, like the hop on hop off bus, but the cost was not equal. The room didn’t have a refrigerator nor a microwave, that would have been more helpful. And the internet was slow.
The location was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The cleaning crew did. A wonderful job each day. The staff were very helpful. The Starbucks was very convenient.

United States of AmericaBreakfast buffet was confusing. We were served coffee before knowing the menu and pricing. Staff was not sympathetic with situation and proceeded to change an excessive amount for the coffee. When checking out, front desk staff claimed they had no authority to adjust the bill. They called the service manager and had to argue more than expected to resolve the issue. Seems like someone staying 5 nights would have been given a more reasonable consideration.

United States of AmericaI booked a city view room and I literally only had half of a glimpse of one of the I Love New York stores. Disappointed with that. I would've saved the extra money to not book that type of room. Also, I didn't realize until we got there that no mini fridge was provided in the room. That is on me for not looking closely enough beforehand, but I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't offered.
It was exactly where we wanted to be... Not directly in the heart of the Square, but right at the edge of it.

United States of AmericaThe foot of the bed was higher than the head making it really hard to sleep. My feet were exceedingly high. The mattress pad bunched under my body and didn’t remain flat causing me to wake up during the night due to discomfort. I almost took it off the bed. The bed squeaked a lot when I turned over. The bed overall just seemed really old. And when I booked , I didn’t realize there unnecessary fees on top of the original prices making a one night stay more expensive than it needed to be.
Location of room in hotel. For a city hotel it was relatively quiet.
