To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

United States of AmericaEven if we were on the 6th floor, you could still hear the subway underneath, the construction across the street, and the noise in the hallway. That being said, by day 3 we were used to it. The room felt small for two people yet had everything you need for a short stay. No housekeeping or cleaning of the room/bathroom, so be mindful of that!
The location was FANTASTIC to walk around or take the subway to explore further sightseeing. The bedding and pillows were so comfortable. The water pressure from the shower was superb! The room had floors instead of carpet which is ALWAYS a plus.

ArgentinaWhen we arrived the room we had originally booked was no available... we were given a smaller room, which did not have a table microwave and sink as we had booked. We stayed for 7 days.. the idea was to have a few meals at the hotel.. but that was not an option. I spoke to Tatianna who was very nice and told us she could move us to a bigger room the last 2 nights. And she would re fund one night. When we arrived in the room it was freezing cold and the heating system was not working. Fortunately they sent someone from maintainance who solved the problem... it took some time but it started working in the end... we got 2 Starbucks gift cards of 5 us$ each for our troubles. One of the lifts broke mid stay and was not working. You had to put your room code into a pad in the lift.. that was terrible.. everybody forgot their codes... and if you were with other guests in the lift it was a hassel to put more than one floor in.. because the code was only for your floor.. Then the broken lift was sort of fixed... it went crazy and would stop in every single floor... The re fund.. ended up being credits for a next stay in a sonders, valid for 1 year. Fortunately we had booked a sonders in miami right after NYC. We tried to apply the credits for that stay but it was practically imposible. I sent lots emails and I am sure I was answered by practically all the sonders staff... each person had a different take in the matter.. which was quite confusing. No follow up was made by 1 person. By the time we left NY we still had not been able to apply the credits. When we arrived in Miami there was a receptionist.. no reception in NYC. She phoned management in arkansas.. but they were not able to solve the problem. Finally after several more emails i was able to get one from David who seemed more forth comming and helpful he said i should phone him so i phoned arkansas again and asked for david... no surname supolied...so no one knew david...so I spoke to john..
Location was fantastic. The hotel was nicely furnished. Our second room was fantastic.. corner room with incredible views

DenmarkThe location is second to none, the staff were nice, it was clean and I felt safe travelling alone. I had no problems with the app or with checking in or out, and I was not bothered by the noise from 26th street as earplugs were kindly provided. I had a minor incident with the coffee maker in my room, and had help right away, and had no other problems with it. I really liked the Davines bath products and didn’t use the ones I had brought with me, which is rare because hotel products are usually the absolute worst. I was given fresh towels when I needed them, and helping myself to more coffee, toilet paper etc was not a problem. I requested a later checkout via the app and it went smoothly. I also had no problems with the Chromecast. So all in all I did not like experience any of the problems that other guests seem to have had. I quickly found out that it was quicker for me to tap my code than to use the mobile key, and as it’s only six digits this isn’t difficult. This hotel is perfect for anyone able to and used to dealing with things themselves and who don’t require much assistance. Everything is explained clearly in the app, and made my stay very easy and pleasant.

BahrainI’ve stayed in sonder in Dubai and London and never had an issue . So when booking in NY I thought I would get the same experience but didn’t, so many things that didn’t make the stay comfortable. To start when i first came in the rooms wasn’t properly cleaned, no closet storage so for a week stay that was difficult, really loud as room is facing outside ( even ear plugs didn’t work). Won’t be coming back or recommending it.

TaiwanA screw on the room door became loose and cause the door to jam. I couldn’t close the door for 30 min, before figuring out what went wrong and fixed it myself. Couldn’t get help. The hotel also made it hard to get cleaning service. I finally figured out how to make a request, and they refused to clean up till 2 days later.

I want to change the card and I couldn't so I had to pay an extra 10% - They offer lockers and they have only 6 and they are all the time full. - You can make the appoiment to clean the room and there were no availability during my stay. - I asked for a non noisy room and it was a nightmare - They offer 24/7 service and they answer the emails 48 hs later

United States of Americaimagine a fully automatic hotel, no keys, no staff, only a code which gives you access to the building, lift and your room. we flew into NYC and arrived to Sonder flatiron at 10pm, and of course, our code didn’t work. after 3 phone calls, 4 hours of waiting in the freezing cold lobby, Sonder made me pay for ANOTHER room (even though I’d already paid for a room) because they had double booked our room. at 2:30am we finally got a code to a new room and THE DOOR WAS BROKEN. so, another hour of waiting around and we finally gained access. it was definitely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. pay the extra money and get a hotel with a concierge, staff and some good customer service.
