Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of America- no coffee maker in room and ird coffee too expensive. - very slow drain in sink. Remedied once FD was notified - limited IRD menu items and times - shower showing signs of neglected cleaning with mold in grout. - could use nightstand on opposite side of beds. Backup set of pillows in room - lack of map and highlights of immediate area. - lack of overnight IRD.
Location, friendly staff, spacious room, comfy bed, A/C not too loud and helped drown out the street noise. Great hotel bar (Scarpetta’s) Would LOVE to buy an amenity bar “hutch” similar to what is in rooms. Housekeeping personnel was very lovely and hospitable. Front desk team was very accommodating and responded timely to requests or maintenence requests.

United KingdomThe room is tiny, although the bed is fabulous, it just takes up most of the room! Bathroom is a good size but it is looking a bit tired with a step in bath and shower curtain. Aircon was quite noisy.
The hotel is well located for Penn Station and Grand Central, it is across the road from Whole Foods, there are great food and drink options nearby, and it has really good access to public transport for uptown or downtown. We really liked the offer of a tea/coffee in reception each morning (as the rooms are really too small to offer anything in the room). There was also a complimentary glass of wine at 5pm for those interested.

Cayman IslandsGreat Spot, however staff not very friendly, barely take notice of guests. When trying to talk to them at their front desk they are constantly on the computer and not engaging while you are speaking to them. I also had a $50 credit which I did not use and then when asked to use it against the charge of getting packages delivered it was denied? I cant understand the commercial substances behind this decision as I effectively cost the hotel nothing by not using the credit and holding a package does not cost anything either?

United KingdomNo kettle in the hotel room. The shower was also a curtain, which isn't ideal.
Great location along Madison Ave and midtown NY. Every morning there was complimentary coffee and tea in the foyer and in the evening at 5pm there was complimentary wine at 5pm. We stayed in a room with two double beds and there was plenty of space for our luggage. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Great value as well for New York. The fitness room was ideal and the basics for a decent workout.

IsraelThere is no coffee machine in the room. I think the mini bar is a waste of space in this type of room. Small maintenance issues (that I didn't even raise with the front desk) such as the toilet paper holder falling from the wall.
The deluxe king size room was very spacious considering it's New York. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets where nice to snuggle in. House keeping was very nice, every morning the cleaning staff greeted us with a smile and wanted to know if we needed anything.
