Every detail at The Wallace is elegant and consistent with the next; and there is an amazing attention to detail everywhere, from the beautiful entrance and lobby, lounge and bar, to the simplicity in design of each room.

Hotel staff had accidentally prepared my room for a couple celebrating their anniversary. I was quickly moved into an alternative room, so no big deal.

Best place to stay on the UWS if that's where you want to be. Very comfortable accommodations. Lobby with fireplace is very cozy. Rooms are very nicely done.

Excellent quiet location, close to a good selection of restaurants and Central Park. Great walking area, including midtown in 30 minutes. Cozy bar with live jazz and nice cocktails. Great staff throughout, who handled an internal noise issue very well.

Although there was 2 of us, they provided slippers and robe for only 1 person. We didn’t feel the need for more so didn’t request but it was not in keeping with expectations. It was noisy at all hours, we suspect other guests walking heavily rather than the location of the room. The room could also do with a comfortable chair! Lights were tricky to operate so a guide would be helpful.

Staff were cheerful, friendly and welcoming. Location is pleasant and convenient enough. The room is large enough and clean. The in room snacks were much appreciated for those midnight peckish moments.

What breakfast? We ate at a little shop on the corner. The staff was wonderful, from the maintenance people, to the front desk, the doorman, the room attendants. Our room was so clean and comfortable.

There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in our room we couldn’t get rid of. We have a suite next to the fire exit and it sounded like people were going out onto there to smoke, which was noisy and the smell permeated into our room.

The 2 lifts are slightly small, if there was someone else in them at the same time then it would be a struggle for my family of 4 to fit in them with all our luggage.

All the staff at this hotel were very friendly and professional, they were happy to help with any queries. It is well located on the Upper West side with 2 subway stations around a 5 minute walk away. The room for our party of 2 adults and 2 children was large for Manhattan standards which I really liked. It was very clean and the room cleaning service everyday was excellent. Shower was warm and great water pressure.

The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there are a number of places nearby that do. There is a rather strong odor (perfume?) especially in the reception area.

The hotel is stylish and recently renovated. The room was spacious for NY standards, and modern. The hotel has a quiet location on a side street and is well connected by metro.

The Wallace doesnt have a restaurant, but I inderstand this is very common in NYC. The second room could very easily have a proper sofa bed which would make it much more usable for a family of 4

Location was great, far from the crowds of the city. Also surrounded by lovely delis and restaurants. 5 minute walk to the Metro. 10 mins to Central Park The room was very large, well equipped and very clean, perfect for a pair of teenagers. Staff were also lovely - they left a lovely chocolate cake in our room for my daughters birthday
