Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe breakfast included isn't really a breakfast, as it's just a hot drink and a pastry. The choice is very limited, and lacks fruit, dairy products, cereals, juices etc to call it a proper breakfast ;) The hotel's soundproofing isn't very good either, as I could easily hear construction outside, or what was going on in the corridor or the room next door. Overall, for an individual traveler over a night or two it works well, but it's quite expensive for the service offered and not suitable for families.
Well-located hotel, the rooms are really small but very optimized and comfortable.

United States of AmericaGiven the price, the room was very, very small. Close to a pod. The windows looked out to a brick wall about two feet away.
Good coffee and pastries. Clean and contemporary design. Great mattress. Very well located.

United KingdomRoom size is a joke. We actually joked it felt like prison cells. Small with no place for suitcases. Bathroom size is meh. Overall room wasn't great for a couple. Good for solo travellers though!
The free two pastry breakfast per person was a nice bonus. The location was fab. The reception is a thousand % cooler than the actual rooms

United KingdomThe bed is small for two people: it is a double bed but we did not realise that a double bed in the US was actually smaller than a UK bed. We did not sleep super well as we are both tall and clearly did not have enough space. The breakfast is not really a breakfast: 2 pastries and 1 hot drink per person. If you arrive after 8 am, you have no pastries anymore.
The hotel is in a great location (easy access, several tube stations near by), we liked the vibe. The room was cleaned every day, with new towels without asking for it.

United States of America1. The staff member informed me at check-in that there’s complimentary breakfast served every morning until 11 am. The next day at 10 am, I received a text stating that the breakfast service ends at 10 am due to a planned earlier event. 2. On the last night of my stay, some people trying to enter the bar in the building pulled the fire alarm handle. Not only did the staff fail to verify if the “guests” could access the bar, but they also didn’t use the speaker to notify hotel guests of a false alarm, explaining that they refrained from doing so because people were sleeping. I wasn’t the only one who thought we needed to evacuate and went down. After another 15 minutes, the announcement was finally made as I was trying to fall back asleep. 3. Overall value versus cost - pricey. The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were rather cheap; the sheets were not ironed.
Design, location, possibility to leave the luggage before / after check-in, filtered water.

United States of AmericaThe bed took up 3/4 of the room. I could barely turn around in the room. The shower came down directly from overhead. Not everyone wants to get their hair wet in a shower. No closet, just a few metal hangers on a hook. The decor in the elevator was awful. I cancelled my third night when I checked in and am still trying to get a credit for the third night. It was the worst place I have ever stayed.
I liked nothing about this place

SwitzerlandThe price was exorbitant for what we had. The room and bathroom were very small. Hardly any room to walk and no privacy at all when in the bathroom. Nowhere to sit on beside the bed and a small stool. The table was a folding table. In fact, everything was very small (fridge, small double bed, space to store your suitcase) Nowhere to hang the clothes. The view from the window was a wall. Very simple breakfast (coffee and a pastrie) and you have to be quick if you want to have something to eat. Not comfortable at all especially when you take into consideration price range we paid.
Great location, very nice decoration and atmosphere. Possibility to have a kettle to warm up some water. Very clean and safe. Nice staff. Near WholeFood and restaurants. Everything looks nice and neat but far too expensive for what you get.
