Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

KenyaDidn’t realize the bathrooms were shared with other people. No elevators so one has to carry their luggage up the steep stairs. The room is like a shoe box so no value for money. One can get a very nice hotel in Brooklyn for the same price of 160 dollars a night.

United KingdomThe sheets were yellow due to age. If the sheets had been new/white, it would have felt cleaner/more comfortable.
The location was fantastic, we loved being in Chinatown amongst the hustle and bustle. For New York, the price was the main factor for us choosing this hotel - it was the cheapest available.

Czech RepublicA lot of noise from the street and also from other rooms and corridor.
Really small room without any places to put clothes, no wardrobe. Cold room without any heating system. Cleaning of room only after alerting. Shared toilets and showers.

Czech RepublicFrom the reviews we knew what to expect. Old furniture, uncomfortable beds, no mat in the bathroom, no breakfast, no fridge, no kettle, no tea bags. No heating in the room, so it was cold. But we survived two nights.
Excellent location right in China Town, a short walk from the subway. Low price compared to other Manhattan accommodations. Plenty of restaurants, shops nearby. We were given another blanket on request and the staff even boiled water for us - the room was cold.

United States of AmericaThe rooms are comically small, and the walls are so thin that you can hear the conversations of those in neighboring rooms. I also didn't realize that some rooms do not have a window or any source of natural light.
This hotel is cheap, the staff are friendly, and it is in a great location!

ItalyThe room was very small, the bed was touching the wall from three sides (feet, head and right side) and it was uncomfortable to get in bed
The location of the hotel is perfect. Very close to a subway station, in 25 minutes or less you get to Central Park and other famous attractions in NYC.

United States of AmericaThe lack of clean floors and the lack of furniture and TV in the apartments leaves a lacking experience. invest in better business. There’s no windows. It’s a little white square with a wooden beam in the center of the room. It’s not bad but it’s not much more than pleasant. Luke-warm. Felt more like a Hostel than a Hotel.
The bedsheets were clean. The bathrooms were clean.

JapanThe walls are quite thin and the satisfaction of your stay really depends on your neighbors. The first night was rough due to a family screaming, talking, and playing loud music from 2 to 5 am.
I really liked the location of the hotel as it was near a station which allowed me to get to the places that I wanted to be in. The room is just like advertised and you get what you pay for. The bed can fit two people comfortably while still having quite a bit of space to move around. The bathrooms were nice and clean and came with shampoo and body wash.

United States of AmericaSmallest room we've ever stayed in. Bed barely fit. They offer towels, no washcloths. The soap holder in our bath was broken off. Soap and shampoo is out if big communal bottles. No floor mat for bathroom. We used an extra towel We brought an extra towel, cloths, and our oun soap and used them. Also used our own pillow cases. Theirs looked ok, but.... Another guest who had a shared-bath room said they wore shoes in the shower there. I'm not sure how well they keep that clean. Room was kind of stuffy. Not sure what it would be like in summer. Be prepared to hump your luggage up the steps.
Chinatown is fun and authentic. Location was a short walk from subway, and a bus line ran out front. Very easy to get to Greenwich Village if you want that scene, and the train takes you right to Brooklyn if you want to do that. We had to go to Fifth Avenue and 50th, and it was an easy ride up there.

SloveniaSome guests are just inconsiderate of others and they leave the bathrooms floating after they took a shower... Nothing to do with the hotel or management though.
All was good, the location, the room, the staff. it's one block away from the subway, but beware: the hotel is in the first floor with no elevator. Works for me, but might not be ok for everyone.

Puerto RicoEven though it is an economic alternative, there should be at least some ventilation (fans) in the room. There is nothing. Not even windows.
You get what you pay for. This is a European-style economy hotel, meaning do not expext any fancy accomodations. Bathrooms are shared and, if you are not okay with that, then look somewhere else.

United States of AmericaAt first, concerned about shared bath, but it worked out just fine. Very small room, but we managed. Signs on wall about not guaranteeing safety for bags left after check-out, but we left our bags for a few hours and they were fine.
The room was surely the smallest we've ever had in New York, but we worked out where to hang and store things. It was all very basic but clean, and staff polite and helpful. In the Priceline description, we missed that the shower and bath listed up top were "shared" bath - listed at the end of the items provided, so shared bath was a surprise when we got to the hotel. There didn't seem to be many people in the hotel, so the shared baths worked out well for us, once we got accustomed to the idea. This was definitely our most economical choice for a hotel the week between Christmas and New Years. We spent most of our time in the area, and liked doing that since we typically stay elsewhere. The stair up to the room floor is long - and no elevator.

SingaporeThere was an odd odour in the room that was quite unbearable. The room was also pretty small. It would really help if slippers were provided to enter the shared bathroom.
