on arrival, the check in staff were so casual that it was unprofessional. We had travelled all day and were tired and excited, and it was such a disappointment.

The vibe of the hotel is cool and it is very well located.

Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn't up and running yet. I was given a fan which helped. Room size was smallish - room with 2 beds - and would have been very tight if there were 2 people in it with all their luggage.

    Friendly staff. Nice restaurant.

Older property so with it still being considered winter - the air conditioner only blew out hot air. Luckily they were able to open our windows and give us fans for sleeping!

When we checked in the didn't tell us we couldn't turn on the air conditioning when we left and came back it blew heat the whole time and the room temperature was 86 degrees. They then moved us to another room and said they would comp us for the night on that room but I haven't seen the comp yet.

Staff was very accommodating and nice. We just weren't told ahead of time that there was no air conditioning in the rooms till the 15th of May. Location of the hotel was ideal for the sights we wanted to see.

Rooms are not cleaned every day, only garbage is removed. There are no service elevators so the only two guest elevators are extremely slow and over crowded. When service workers with their carts use the elevators waiting time can be around eight-ten minutes. No help with laggage when needed. Room maintanace is poor; burnt light balbs are not replaced and the air condition is non-functional.

Location is good and breakfast is very good

A member of the front desk staff was rude when we were trying to check in and the bartender in the hotel's bar/restaurant was very rude when we asked how our hotel credits applied against the bar tab. It was actually embarrassing. As far as the hotel goes, the shower did not drain while you were using it, thought it would drain after you got out. So, you were wasting in water up to your ankles during your shower.

The hotel is very pretty and the room was well appointed. The location in Greenwich Village can't be beat and the restaurant and bar on the ground floor were very good.

It was hot in the rooms. Being able to open the window helped slightly but not enough as it could only be opened a little bit. Staff was mixed. Some were very pleasant and some were a bit short and rude.

I liked the charm of the hotel. It has a style that is quaint and it offers a more relaxing atmosphere.

You can't adjust the temperature in room as the heat only is on currently, so your only option for cool air is shutting all off and opening window. I ended up each day with a sore throat from doing this as I have bad allergies. We also were told we could ask for a fan, so we did, but it was never brought to the room. Rooms are much smaller than we are used to in NYC, but they are beautiful and cozy.

Loved the hotel, the location, the front desk staff, restaurant and bar too. We would go to this restaurant even if we weren't staying, it's inviting, beautifully decorated and has a huge skylight in the center. Pics are the view from our window.
