Water leakage in the bathroom. No extra pillow available even upon request. Too much noise in the corridor, especially in the morning with the housekeeping.

There was an unfortunate incident whereby we had purchased a bottle of wine off site but required a corkscrew bottle opener. We called reception for one and was referred to the restaurant on site. We were told by Reception that the Restaurant would assist us and we could even sit outside and have our wine. All good, so family and I decide to go downstairs and decided to grab dinner at the restaurant whilst there. When we got the Restaurant (around 8.15pm), we were met by some extremely upset staff. We asked if its ok, recounted our phone call to Reception. The response was, "We don't do that here but Reception said so, there is nothing we can do." The waitress proceeded to open the wine whilst the manager stormed off to Reception. I offered to pay corkage, hoping to just leave this behind.. but no. I was refused. By 9.30pm (Restaurant closes at 10!), no one had so much as come up to us to even take a food order.. all the while, the Manager is walking up and down, screaming at staff about our wine, pointing to us etc. Very unprofessional to say the least! I eventually flag down a waitress, explain the events to her and she agrees to assist us with an order. The order comes, and its wrong to what I have ordered. I go up to her and explain this and her response was shocking!! She pulled up the order as per the room number, and shows me the name from the menu and the order is the same. She then tells me, "I am not stupid, I captured your order correctly!" To which my response was, I did not call you stupid, I am basically saying as per my order I should have received Chicken Strips, Jalapeno Poppers, Chips and Boerewors. I received, Pork Ribs, Pork Bangers (I don't eat pork), chips and chicken wings. Basically the kitchen had given me the incorrect order. Still stood there for about 5min whilst waiting for the Manager to fold cutlery in the napkins before she instructed the waitress to collect the basket and bring me the right order.

Prime location!! The canal is next to the hotel, so if you bought the City Sightseeing Canal Tour, you could get to and from the V&A waterfront for the day! Coffee in the rooms is lovely. Rooms are spacious and comfortable

Fabulous upgrades to the bathroom and bedroom 😍. Pity the coffee machine didn't work, plug issue. Comfy beds, clean and neat room. Prefer the shelving and rails for clothing rather than cupboards. Rooms look bigger and brighter! Generous breakfast, lots of options.

Loved the location! We could walk down the canal straight to the waterfront and back! Never had to use the car. The rooms are beautiful and modern. We had a beautiful way of the canal from our bedroom window. We also ordered burgers from the hotel restaurant and it was great value for money.

The pillows were a bit uncomfortable, very flat for my liking, but it doesn't take away the fact that the stay overall and services were exceptional....

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good service from the start till the end. It's definitely a return worth, and it comes highly recommended. Keep up the standard.
