Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Germany- sunchairs are made of stone - not as comfortable and not possible to lie on the belly.. - umbrellas on the terrance would've been nice, too
- the restaurant for breakfast but also lunch was fabulous! Extremely fresh, health choices and friendly staff! - we used the gym every day and had everything needed for a good workout - we used the pool and the beautiful view over cape-town.

United KingdomThe chairs by the pool can be uncomfortable because they’re concrete - but this is a small complaint. The place is great

United KingdomNothing major but a few things could be better: - The 2 sets of curtains are sown together, would be nice if we could use the thin one on it's own to still allow for light to come in without having to fully blackout the room. - There was a outage (not load-shedding related) for over 1h. We had just returned from dinner and thought it was odd that all the lights were out, we got very little information during this time and were slightly concerned about our belongings in the room, the restaurant was kind enough to let us and a few other guests wait there, but eventually we left decided to wait in the lobby (restaurant was closing) luckily after 10 minutes we were asked if we wanted to go to our room via the evacuation route, we went in and after a few more minutes the electricity came back. Shortly after (maybe through a megaphone) we were told that the issue had been fixed however I think this should have been communicated better given how frequent this can happen. I felt terrible for some other guests which were stuck in the left during the entire outage. - When we were about to check-out unfortunately I couldn't find my passport and had to search through the room. I left at 11:01 and was already getting called by reception and the cleaning staff entered the room as we were leaving (didn't even let us close the door). I was by the desk by 11:03, while I understand the check-out times are set for a reason I thought it was super rude, I think a 5/10 min grace would have been nice and certainly made the check-out experience much more pleasant as I was already stressed about my passport.
It was our first time in Cape Town so we really didn't know what to except but were presently surprised. The hotel has a great location and some nice restaurants within a short walking distance. The bed was large and super comfy, also the room smelled amazing. The breakfast at Sonny and Irene was divine even if after the 6th day it was a bit tricky to decide what to get but the allowance was more than enough and the staff were super friendly. The view from the rooftop is great despite the huge crane at the front. Overall I would totally recommend staying here and when I return to CT I'd stay here again.

South AfricaEverything was great - nothing to complain about. I did find that the street noise carried directly into the rooms so a consideration would be to insulate the sliding doors a bit more with either thicker glass or closed insulation.
I loved the room and location as well as the modern furnishes and facilities. The handwritten note was a lovely personal touch and including items like Oat Milk as well Diary Milk for my in room tea/coffee was also really mindful and lovely. it had both a coffee machine and electric kettle. Bedding and the Charlotte Rhys products were all 5 star quality.

GermanyIt's worth noting that the hotel, despite being a new build, was surprisingly noisy due to poor sound insulation.
Station House in Sea Point, Cape Town, stands out as a remarkably modern hotel with top-notch amenities, including pools, a gym, rooftop pool, and complimentary parking. The sense of security is palpable, further enhanced by the convenience of ordering IV treatments or massages directly to the room. A noteworthy perk is the inclusive breakfast at the nearby Sonny and Irene, adding to the overall value. The hotel's flexibility allowed us early access to our room before the regular check-in time. Effective communication via WhatsApp made interactions seamless, with prompt responses for any queries or assistance, including help with restaurant reservations. The reliable Wi-Fi was a plus.

United KingdomNothing I can think of that needed improvement.
The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful, and the face recognition access system meant the place felt very secure. My room had an enormous balcony, was very clean and had everything I needed. I used the rooftop terrace, the pool was small but it had a lovely view and was quiet so I could get a few laps in. I also used the gym which had a few treadmills, a bench press and a squat rack, as well as some dumbbells so more than enough - it also had an a/c unit which was useful.

GermanyNothing!!!!
We more than enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect. From the rooftop pool with breathtaking views of the ocean, to one of the best breakfasts we had on our entire South Africa trip. The entire staff was very friendly, the rooms clean and the beds more than comfortable. We also used the fitness room several times and found it to be well equipped. The beach promenade is a short walk away. Sunny&Irene was such a hip place to have breakfast and the food not only looked more than instagrammable - no it also tasted great ;-) We can recommend this accommodation 100%. The value for money is hard to beat and you just feel at home from the second you arrive. We will definitely be back!!!
