Everything about this place is amazing.The customer service is 5 star. Every staff we encountered just seemed to go above and beyond to deliver premium service. Special shout out to Philemon :) They assisted with making restaurant reservations for places that had a waiting list, provided recommendations on places to visit. They pretty much had a solution for any thing you could think of. Thanks for an amazing stay. We'll definitely be back.

The hotel is situated in the waterfront and thus attracts tens of thousands of Gulls so not the quietest hotel and not great sharing a pool with them either.

The staff were very attentive and friendly, the hotel was immaculately clean and the breakfast was amazing.

The exorbitant prices being charged for the hotel and being made to sign for meals when they were already included and paid for. The lack of availability for the spa services was also frustrating after a long Safari.

The location, hotel, and staff were fabulous. The location is in a prime location accessible to everything via foot or a quick uber/taxi ride. The staff and beautiful hotel are world-class, and I felt like royalty from check-in to check out.

Too many ‘ Instagram luvvies!’ That make the bar area a bit cheap with constant posing on the main steps into the bar . The bar is beautiful & I am sure we all like a photo to capture the magnificence, but when it becomes ‘ ridiculous ‘ with Instagramers who aren’t even staying there , then it definitely cheapens this exquisite hotel .

The pool was cleaned spotlessly each morning and the attendant did a great job, there are a number of gulls that occupy the area and regular bathe in the pool or fly over. At one side of the pool there can be poop stains from the birds and some guests were also hit! We have visited other places that have taken a hawk around the poolside area and that has kept the gulls at bay, perhaps the hotel should consider something similar?

We grew into the hotel, when we first arrived it felt like a “corporate” hotel, staff saying hello because they were told to rather than it being genuine. The hotel was fantastic, we had a room with a port view out of one window and table mountain out of another. The breakfast facilities are superb, the best we have encountered on our many travels.

There isn't a mirror near to a socket if you want to dry your hair.

Waking through the entrance you are greeted by a magnificent view of table mountain. We had booked a marine harbour view room which was enormous. Our balcony was the biggest we have ever had, a delightful place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the boats. The bathroom area was beautiful with a double vanity, shower and bath. On arrival there was a bottle of wine in the room and a selection of snacks - dried fruit, biltong etc were also delivered. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room with views of table mountain. There was a large selection of fruit and cold cuts, a menu of cooked food and a self service are with South African specialities. Sparkling wine was offered and topped up if you wished. The pool area is over a bridge; there are some loungers but on a hot afternoon you may struggle if you don't get there early. The staff were genuinely pleasant and helpful, especially the concierge team who helped us to recover our suitcase which hadn't made the flight. I must mention Tash in particular, I think he knows everything there is to know about Cape Town and has a great sense of humour. This are of Cape Town is very safe, whenever we went out there were plenty of security staff around the streets and shops area. If we return we would certainly stay at The One and Only again.

Everything exceeded my expectations.

The design of the entire place, especially the lobby. The room size is small compared to the balcony (which is huge), and the bathroom looks great. The staff is amiable and attentive to details. The breakfast is delicious. My younger son loved playing in the kid's room.
