The shower drain was clogged in our room, which caused the shower to overflow into the room and make a mess. We told someone about it after our first night but it wasn't fixed while we were there.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to many of the places we wanted to go, esp the CBD and V&A Waterfront. The breakfast was delicious.

Very friendly staff, especially Endie and Kelvin, the room was specious and comfortable, breakfast was amazing, compliments to the chef. Location was good, not super central but we could walk everywhere, 15min to the waterfront, 20min to the city center.

The AC unit in our room made loud noises when not operating. The doorbell for front door access very loud in room we were in.

Ambience,facilities,staff all superb. Cannot recommend it highly enough.lovely touches like sweeties on your pillow,snacks and drinks offered in evening. Faye who served breakfast every morning was so chatty and welcoming.

When I checked in I asked if I could have gluten free toast with my breakfast. I was told that they could get gf bread in but indicated that they often bought it and their guests didn't actually eat it. I assured the lady that I would eat it. The next morning I asked for it at breakfast and was told that they only had rye bread. Rye is a gluten so I wasn't able to eat it and no gluten free bread was ever obtained. While everything looks lovely and clean, the bedroom floor was actually quite dirty and out feet were always quite dirty walking around it. While I know that load shedding isn't the hotel's fault it would be really helpful to be told what the scheduled power outage periods are to be able to plan things like blow drying hair and charging phones.

It's a lovely modern boutique hotel that is 10 minutes walk from the Waterfront. The check in staff are lovely and friendly.

My room was below the breakfast area so I could hear chairs moving above me starting early, 7 am. Also the kitchen was right next to my room so I heard dishes clattering. It would be helpful to have some soundproofing for this particular room.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was exceptional. Nat and Faye were especially kind and helpful. No request was too big. My flight was cancelled and they booked me a room in their sister property last minute. The location is great and everything is a ten minute Uber ride away. There was a lot of security and I felt safe as a solo female traveler.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. they made us feel so welcome. the hotel was extremely clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious. The afternoon cake a real treat. Would recommend to anyone. We hope to make it back at some point soon.

Note that there are 3-4 parking spots just outside the entrance, if those are full you would have to park on the side of the road- but the area felt quite safe and there are cameras outside.

Excellent stay, I was suspicious when none of the reviews had anything to criticise but the location was good, staff very friendly and the accommodation spacious and clean. The shower in the king bedroom is not separate from the actual bedroom (not a separated bathroom) so just something to note for privacy if you’re not sharing as a couple.

Well appointed boutique hotel . Quiet area but only 10/15 minute walk to waterfront . What made it so special was the staff . We got known by name , staff were ever ready to please and ensure we had a good stay . Would definitely recommend

i loved everything

Zest boutique hotel embodies the whole concept of a boutique hotel. From the decor, to the rooms to the staff, to the breakfast , everything is so tailored to satisfy the guests. The staff were really the highlight of my stay there, everyone was so warm and lovely especially the receptionists at the front desk. I would recommend to anyone visiting CPT. and the location is pretty central and safe

Cape Town has rolling blackouts. Made it very difficult to dress in the morning, or read in the evening or be able to use a sleep apnea machine. Of course this isn’t the hotels fault. It’s part of life in South Africa.

Wonderful quality and presentation of breakfast food. Lovely afternoon cake and tea (complimentary). Evening drinks at very decent pricing. Rooms have excellent mattresses and linens. Staff were incredibly helpful! They felt like dear family.
