The views from the rooms were spectacular and laying in bed cal look up at the peaks way above. The breakfast was extensive enough for fuelling the energy for the day. The bedding was comfortable and room was warm. The renovations make the rooms very clean. For the purpose of snow chasing holiday, it has pretty much all you would want.

I had an excellent stay at the RestAuberge La Reine Meije, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing lots of practical advice on how to get the best out of the trip. The food in the restaurant was exceptionally good for dinner in the evenings and the breakfast was also to an acceptable standard. There was a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere in the common seating area, with board games and music available.

Exceptional location next to the impressive La Mejie mountain. The view is just sublime. The Gîte is definetely the coolest stay we had during our trekking in the Parc des Ecrins. We especially loved the funky terrace with the pink Cadillac converted to a -Swimming Pool. The appartment is very spacious, clean and well equipped. The hosts are really friendly and laid back. We immediately felt at home. A true highlight to remember!

The place exceeded our expectations, especially due to the owners. The couple "naturel et lumière" (that is actually how they call themselves 😊) is running this authentic and extremely cosy mountain refuge in a very positive and welcoming spirit.
At our arrival, we were instantly warmly received in this remote, high altitude “gite” in beautiful snow topped surroundings, which made us feel happy and at home immediately.
The owners knowledge of the area and its history is astounding and a source of inspiration and laughter!
The room we had (“Ecrins”) was beautiful, clean, had mountain views and even a bathtub.
Breakfast and food is served by the fire in the cosy common room and the bar is a great place to chat with the owners or other guests.
Highly recommendable !
Beautiful scenic area, a lot is closed in the summer, but...
Beautiful scenic area, a lot is closed in the summer, but there is enough open for the essentials. A little tricky getting from town to town, very narrow winding roads! Not sure how it’s possible in the winter.
Fantastic apartment in a fantastic location. Needless to say, La Grave is a beautiful destination for any outdoor lovers.
The kitchen is very well equipped, the house is more than spacious enough for five people, the view from the balcony is stunning and the whole apartment has a lovely, rustic yet modern style along with many local items to discover (books, maps, ...). Communication was very friendly and key collection very easy. Spent a week here but wish we would have had more time.
RestAuberge La Reine Meije exceeded expectations, Frederick the host was very welcoming and introduced us to all the staff. The place felt family run, the rooms were exceptionally clean and their fantastic chef prepared quality food. The view from the bar, selection of beers and the bar area in general was superb and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this place and will be returning next time I visit La Grave.
A lovely hotel consisting of 17 chalets in the beautiful village of La Grave. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable and overlooked the spectacular La Meige glacier. Our hosts were very welcoming, and the inclusive breakfasts were excellent and ample. We could not have had a more pleasurable experience and hope to return - most highly recommended!
I was there with my father to have a 4 day motorbike trip. We had a fantastic stay. The apartment was perfect, the view over the gletcher was super nice and breakfast was very good.
Ideal location as a central point to go for several days on different motor bike trips.
Also good restaurants in the small village of La Grave.
The property is located on a high terrace above La Grave, with a magnificent view to glaciers and La Meije mountain across the valley. The room on the second floor had a large terrace. The host was very friendly and spoke English well. Free parking was available on the street 50 m away.
convenient to 5 major ski sites: D’Huez (the Auris sector), Les 2 Alpes; Serre Chevalier, via Monetier-les Bains, and Montgenevre, as well as of course the wild and very challenging terrain at La Grave itself, for which the lifts are adjacent to this property, which it overlooks.
Friendly staff and excellent service. Do not expect a luxury hotel, the room is clean with a nice view. The food is fresh and delicious. It's worth it every penny.
Really good for cyclists like me. There are plenty of famous TDF climbs nearby to the guest house.
The food was incredible - the portions were plentiful, food was fresh and prepared in a gourmet way. Everything was from high quality fresh ingredients and probably the best food I've had in a hotel.
Fantastic apartment owned by a local family. La Grave really is such a special location, and this apartment was a perfect place to base myself for a week of snowboarding.
Fantastic location, the views are spectacular , very quiet and peaceful, La Grave is a beautiful village. The pool area is lovely but lacking in shade, no umbrellas etc.
